Did Old George Foreman Put On Weight Between Fights?

    Both. In his biography he said some days he was struggling to just buy groceries for himself, let alone gathering the funds for the youth center. He came home one day with crippling depression and cried remembering how much money he used to have. It was particularly traumatizing because one of the main reasons he got into boxing was because he grew up poor and hungry.

    Yes-except I did not know that at first-like in "Rocky Balboa"-he wanted to only start very small.
    And mainly I said I never heard that he was depressed, or personally poor.

    This is pretty much my view as on things. I’m atheist, but if religion helps you be better/healthier/happier, etc…then good for you.

    Foreman had some wild stories too during this 10 years off. This article talks about how he was in a custody dispute with his ex wife and went to St. Lucia to basically kidnap his kids. He escaped on a boat with Rastafarian drug dealers.

    Look at him as a pitch person today. He's in excellent fitness, and hasn't had the health issues Holmes has struggled with. (Larry is pear shaped and prone to a big belly he has to fight.)
