i'm not saying this as a pac fan, i'm saying this as a cotto fan or as a fan of good boxing match-ups. floyd-cotto fight back then was the biggest fight in boxing if not for floyd retiring. i was 1 fight away from becoming a floyd fan but he did not make the fight.

Team Pacquiao already thinks Floyd is the easiest fight of the three. You can bet they'll be Floyd hunting if he gets by Cotto.

Mosley was right there, and Team Pacquiao went with Cotto directly on the heels of a universally regarded subpar showing by Miguel against Joshua Clottey. If that isn't a direct cherry-pick, I don't know what is, regardless of how dangerous the fight could be.

    And he's a bigger draw.

Considering he really should be beating up on the Juan Diazes and Joel Casamayors of the world, the fact that he's facing a top 10 P4P true welterweight is pretty impressive, even if he could have faced a different one who maybe presents a more difficult style matchup.

Cotto was chosen simply because he is also a top rank fighter. Although Mosley was willing to go down to 140 (God forbid it to happen but he was having financial troublers with his divorce apparentlly), he is a GBP fighter. It boils down to economics as always in mega-fights. If Mosley was chosen, then GBP would be getting the larger share of the pie (relative to Arum) since Pac has still contractual obligation with GBP due to the previous fiasco of signing a contract with GBP.

Arum may be an octogenarian but he is not stupid and senile. Pac will still get his usual share but Arum would not.

I think Mosley will be next after Cotto. Like Team MP says, he has 2 more fights after Cotto.

I don't see any other fights besides Mayweather (if he wins) and Mosley.

And if PAC wins them all, people will say he ducked Bradley and cherry picked a rusty PBF and an SSM.

Roach wanted Cotto over Mosley not because of styles, but because of Money

No ifs, buts or ORs about it.

Pac is getting a guranteed 12 millions against Cotto, if he fought Mosley he'd be lucky to get atleast 9-10 million guranteed. Its simple economics people.

Of course Pac is a cherrypicker, he keeps picking dangerous opponents that will give him a good fight.

He did turn down Sugar Shane after he practically said he would fite at any weight of Pac choice but instead he turned to Cotto at a higher weight, this is interesting
