Hmmmm....yes it a marketing bonanza when you can sell stuff to 24 million people instead of 300 million.
You lack business brain. They didnt loose 300 million fans that will always support Pac. They gained 24 million last night, that now believe in Horn.
Hey that's great. 24 million. Big time market. As a business genius you would rather export items to Australia rather than the US. Sure, makes sense. Horn will be only a memory once he fights a young, contending WW.
Really look at the casuals who are complaining they had no idea other than Teddy telling them who won... 10-8 round 9 lol where did all the crying casuals get that from?? Teddy of course. Really Teddy is the one who is ruining boxing with all the tripe he goes on with and the casuals all lap it up... Close fight does NOT equal robbery.. LOL on that basis boxing should go to China, why bother with a paltry 300 million when you can get 1.5 billion... Or India, 1 billion there..
Hmm Moore... "Duran vs Moore happened five months later, on Roberto’s birthday and in Madison Square Garden, the same site where Roberto had won his first world title eleven years before. Younger, bigger and stronger, Moore was the betting favorite, but the Garden crowd sensed it was finally Duran’s time for redemption." Duran on his 32nd Birthday KO'd Moore ,the champ @24yr...lookked older afterwards. This content is protected Duran (37) v Barkley(28).........Barkley down in 11th round Duran SD This content is protected Foreman (42)v Ellis(27).............Foreman TKO Foreman (43) v Stewart (27)......Foreman won MD Foreman (44 v Coetzer (31) .......Foreman TKO Ali (35) v Spinks (25)..................Ali Won UD I'll leave it there...
I have heard that home field advantage is real, and that it isn't confined to partial officials or geographical familiarity. Supposedly, the theory goes that just as fans can be swayed by the commentary on their televisions the judges are swayed by the noise of the crowd around them; so the judges don't necessarily have to be from the hometown to be moved in that direction. Personally, I think they were just a bunch of stupid assholes who don't know how to score. I'm sick of this ****. We need better training of judges and referees, a complete and systematic overhaul.
It was a bad decision. However, having said that, Pac looked like a shell of his former self. His footwork, his head movement, and his punching angles have all deteriorated. The Pac who beat De La Hoya, Cotto, Hatton, Margarito, etc. would have destroyed Horn. A prime Pac had one of the most fan-friendly styles over the past few decades. It is time for him to retire.
I don't know how anybody could give Horn the first 6 rounds like you are saying. I gave Horn the first. Had the second close for Pac and didn't score another round for Horn until the 12th, though I had the 11th even. Pacquiao just landed more punches in 8-9 frames.
But that's like the opposite of what happened. Pac landed about 15-16 punches a round to Horn's 8. Horn would lurch in miss with a flurry, maybe landing one. Pac would carefully land one or two punches and get out. Over and over again. Pac never initiated an attack, but he got the better of their exchanges when Horn attacked every time.
1. Market potentional and population arent mutually exclusive. Look at the business Germany and UK are doing. You go where there is demand...where people are willing to spend big bucks. 2. Whats being exported to Australia?
Duran vs Barkley and Davey are good. The others I would disagree as Foreman usually had either a weight or reach advantage even when shorter. Ali dwarfed Spinks so no to that too.
