He was aggressive in the 11th and 12th. Aggressive but sloppy. That's all I saw - but by accounts those were his best rounds. That doesn't speak well.
im just eager to see the rematch mate, just to see what hes picked up from it. quigley cant do much more than what he did on friday so paul should dominate him or stop him. :bbb
im just eager to see the rematch mate, just to see what hes picked up from it. he should have been gettin fights like this years ago mate, instead of filling Amir Khans cards. couldnt have learned much against all them other class c fighters. quigley cant do much more than what he did on friday so paul should dominate him or stop him. :bbb
Sorry mate but this is ridiculous. He will struggle like hell to keep that belt he has now. Euro is almost impossible for him and World is laughable. Sorry if he's your friend or your just a fan but thats just the way it is pal
Maybe it is mate. who knows. tell you what i am more interested in is how you have managed to do 6000 plus posts ince february! ****ing hell you have been busy!
I agree mate. where do you see him going next, and what do you think would be the right move? I think he should defend a couple of times, and work his way to a mandatory for the euro. This way if frank is looking to move him into world position, then at least there is a decent ground for him at a higher level.
I work 7 days on 5 days off. On the 7 days on I work in IT and am genuinely work shy/incompetant. I'm known in work by some as the boxing guy People literally walk past me when there's jobs on nowadays and say 'Oh dont bother Dan he'll be on his boxing website' Also I work in Milton Keynes and Live in Manchester. When i'm on my 7 day shift I live with a lad from work, with the misssus being preggers and us saving for a wedding I try to have as little of a life as possible down here so I generally end up spending most of my time sat in his house on here
I had Quigley winning by 2 rounds but no way in hell am I going to rewatch that fight to make sure!!!! Maybe I was too tough on Smith because of the claims made on the back of the Contender series but no way is he world class and the comments about not being able to get up for a fight of that level were laughable.....that IS his level.
fair do's. I visit this site every day, and rarely find anything that i want to make comment on and am more happy reading than commenting, hence the low postage! But yes you are right, i am a smith fan, and went to watch the fight on friday, and thought he did a bit more than is being suggested. Maybe the blood went to my head a little bit saying about world level and stuff, but i think he will prove to be best at domestic level, he needs to beat dodson and magee to do this, and maybe move on to euro level. wbo should not be ranking him number 4 just yet, probably top 10 -15. But i genuinely feel that if he consolidates at domestic, and get his shot at euro he can move on the world. but this will be in next 2-3 years. He clearly has ability, and his performance was a lot more intelligent than he is being given credit for. The other reason i started posting more was that i did not want that journey man tag against me, i wanted at least esb jr member next to my name! lol
By the way got a six month old myself, and got married a couple of years ago, so totally know ehere you are coming from money wise! It doesn't get much better either But best of luck!
just like i said mate, it all depends on the rematch and how well he does. i dont think hes ready for Stieglitz but i agree with you, he should defend once or twice and see what his performances are like, then just go on that...
I was also there, I drove down on my own (last card for me for some time now). I had it 5-5 going into the last round so I had Simth winning by one. I dont think it was a robbery and wouldn't have done if Quigley would have won. Tense fight which (for me) Tony threw away. Dodson would be a tough one for him if he was fit enough to last the 12 without gassing
