Obviously someone changed it when they realised it couldn't have happened in real life. So now he's got a 100-0 record or something.
Tyrell Biggs robbed the reigning and inaugural Junior World SHW champion Lennox Lewis and of course in the final with the Italian. He won that world championship gold medal though. Although Stevenson was getting old but still Biggs never beat Stevenson. Olympics held in LA and given to the home fighter etc. The difference between Joshua and Biggs is Joshua won or almost won 2 unlimited games. Fighters like SSS was never the number one in the world by far. And in most cases they were gifted the win.
Stevenson/The Italian/Biggs were the top 3 fighters maybe in that order.. Lennox Lewis was probably better than all of them but never got the chance to show it.
The difference between the Joshuas/Biggs and the Audleys/Vitalis is that they beat the whos who of the amateur game in the finals. Rather than doing a Dillian Whyte or a Julius Francis.
He couldn't KO his last opponent or that lad he fought early in his pro career and despite hurting Tony Thompson he couldn't put him away. I think while Price can bang a bit I agree that other aspects of his game are average. He is not the complete package by a long way but is a legitimate threat to many out there. If he builds up some confidence and can work on some of flaws he has a good chance of landing the bigger fights. I hope he sticks in there. I like it when I see a fighter who is vulnerable but capable, adds a bit of excitement for me as a spectator. Joshua has flaws, I am yet to be fully sold on him. It's good to have a reasonable crop of British heavyweights around at the moment and a couple big fights between them all should sort out the pecking order for the next few years.
Thats true for me. And Ive seen a lot worse decisions. I thought he should have won the gold in the world championships before that. He also beat the guy who stopped Dave. The best amateur heavyweight we've ever had by a long way,I think. I also think he's improved since Nistor, and would beat him now, amateur or pro. Talk of him and Dave fighting now is very premature. The people behind each would be **** scared of the other guy. But,and its only my opinion,if Dave is to have a chance,it would have to be sooner rather than later.
Haven't read the rest of the thread past this post but agree whole heatedly with what is said. I'm praying he is the real deal. HW division still has me gripped, something special about it still for me and I'm praying for the glory days of Tyson, Holyfield, Lewis, foreman, Holmes etc to return. Joshua still drops his jab after landing slightly which I fear will only get worse when he is taken to the later rounds and tires for example. Any half decent "fit" HW exploits this with with an overhand right hook etc..
