This fight didn't help Marquez any as a tune up fight to prep him for a Pacquiao fight. Of course, it doesn't help that this fighter is a bum.
Can't really say one way or the other, because I wasn't hit with the punch. All I can say is that this Ramos guy, despite apparently holding some tin belt a few years back, couldn't really fight. He was begging to get hit by that right hand.
[conspiracymode]Team Pac payed ramos to take a dive to **** up jmm's tune up because they are scared[/conspiracymode]:deal
FACTS: -Likar Ramos has been Knocked out before to a 6-9 fighter. -JMM hit Ramos with a straight right, a deadly punch from Marquez. -It was right on the nose. Take a look at Abraham-Taylor a dead on punch right on the face. -JMM wanted to go rounds with a southpaw, why the hell would Marquez want Ramos to take a dive in the first round? Not a fact, but a statement: Why would JMM need Ramos to take a dive? Ramos isn't near Marquez' level.
Ramos's only KO loss was on a bodyshot to Jorge Solis. Not that it means anything but I thought I'd correct that fact.
it's not a dive because ramos had no chance to beat marquez but i think once he tasted that shot he decided to stay down ala etienne vs tyson.
It looked like a dive when I saw it live because that **** didn't look natural. Slow motion replays tell the true story, but it still looked awkward as hell.
I don't think anyone will be suggesting JMM paid him to take a dive, because, as you say, it wouldn't make sense for JMM to **** up his own warm-up fight. But I can't help but feel the guy took the easy way out, and stayed down to avoid a beating for 5-10 legit rounds. It was a good shot that sent him on his way, but I can't help but feel he casually laid down and played dead. But **** it, like I care anyway. I'm happy it ended the way it did. JMM needed rounds under his belt, and he didn't get **** from that fight. Bring on November, baby!
