What matters is, we all know that the Mosley-Roach encounter that he quoted in the interview is around last year.

Roach may disrespect alot of fighters out there. But he obviously respects Shane. Simple as that.

I think i misunderstood your previous post. I thought you were denying that Roach said the line about Mosley.

    Agreed.

We also know roach brought back up that encounter again as well as his STANCE on the issue of pac fighting mosley if mosley gets past mayweather.

Now the issue is why did he bring it back up.

The text before it about mosley upsetting a future fight with mayweather v pac speaks volumes as to why roach made his statement.

Pacquaio was coming up 2 weight classes. DLH was coming down 1.

If you want to talk about weight drained - see Corrales v Mayweather.

And I'll go back to my original point; Manny has fought De La Hoya, Hatton, Cotto, Marquez, Barrera and Morales....

....and you want to suggest this is cherry picking. I doubt that you even believe that. You're just talking utter shite to get attention.

Roach just admitted that they picked cotto at a catchweight who had just been in two recent wars instead of facing a bigger threat in MOSLEY because Mosley is to good a fighter.

If that not cherry picking i dont know what is.

All famous fighters with a lot of juice who I can think of will cherry pick to some extent. Mosley gave a no go on Paul Williams, who wanted him. (I wonder if he changed his mind after Martinez). Aaron Pryor called out Ray Leonard until he was blue in the face and Leonard didn't want him. Hagler didn't want to fight McCallum because there were bigger stars, not necessarily better challenges. Roach was probably right not to let Pac in with Mosley. Mosley can be outboxed and outpointed but he doesn't get hurt like Cotto and he's a harder, more aggressive puncher. Just like Pac has to be careful who he will finally hit his wall against being pushed to the limit of where he can probably fight, weight-wise, so do all weight-jumping fighters. Cotto is going to fight Foreman at 154, do you think he'd fight Kirkland or Angulo? No, because he's going with a very light hitter and not the baddest of the division. If Mosley had moved to middleweight instead of back down to 147, do you think he'd go after a Sturm or after an Abraham?

you obviously followed boxing only from 2009 lol. maybe at 2008 you were still hooked up with WWE

when pac-dlh was announced, everyone cried over DLH possibly decapitating pacquiao and crying over pacquiao risking suicide for the love of money lol. that doesn't sound like cherrypicking

Although this is funny because I heard from Freddy's lips directly on camera that he'd put Pacquiao against anyone at 140 or 147, including Shane. That was a long time ago, before Cotto.

Pacquaio's 3 opponents at WW so far have been DLH (old, weight drained, shot), Cotto (argubaley the best WW in the world, the guy who beat Mosley) and now the #5 ranked WW in Clottey.

Mayweather's 5 opponents at 147 consisted of two Light-Welterweights, a Lightweight, Baldomir, and Zab Judah on a losing streak.
