If he was clever he would have. Wilder is tailor made for an organised boxer like Wlad. Even old Wlad.

His team did the ducking for him

They had no intention of ever unifying
Wilder simply adopted this attitude moving forward

    Yes

& not just "his team" Wilder got manhandled by Wlad in sparring.

Wilder literally said "I'm going the WBC route" AKA the easy beat up a bum named Bumane and take a belt hostage for 5 years

    This was in 2013/14

Meanwhile Fury was bouncing off the walls entering his depression desperate for a fight after Haye ducked him and he had to jump through every hoop for Wlad.

64 of his opposition had a punchers chance but most got knocked out themselves, wilder can't box for ****, fair enough he can bang but tyson proved that means nothing!! Wlad would of schooled him to say the least

Wilder dropping fury in dramatic fashion the first fight showed he has a chance a punchers chance . sure fury wasn't counted out but yes it was close to that .

No offers were made or no negotiations ever took place between the two camps. Wlad already signed on to fight Jennings shortly before Wilder won the title from Stiverne. He then had to face his mandatory who was Fury.
A possible fight was never on the table so no duck took place.

Wilder was smart enough to know he can't box with Wlad. He would give up round after round while waiting for an opportunity to land his equalizer. Pretty much the opposite approach he had during the sparring sessions.

There is zero basis to claim Wilder ducked wlad. No more than there is to claim wlad ducked wilder

Wilder's braintrust wanted no part of that fight. When asked by reporters after winning the WBC title, Wilder's then manager Lou Dibella called his fighter a "prospect" that would need far more ring experience before a potential Wlad fight.

Well he didn’t fight Wlad when he was World Champion, he didn’t fight Martin when he was Champion, he didn’t fight Parker when he was Champion and he didn’t fight Joshua while he’s been the Champion.

I guess there’s some evidence to suggest that Wilder was ducking anyone who was good enough to hold a belt, including Wlad. The only exception being Stiverne who was a paper Champion and got the belt in a lucky bag along with some bubble gum, liquorish and sherbet dip.
