I tip my hat to Calzaghe for taking this fight. It made all the sense in the world. He would have been a fool not to take it as it served to enhance Joe . . .

    • Financially - check.
    • Legacy - check . . . makes it seems as if Joe C woulda mopped the floor with RJJ years ago. Settles all unanswered questions,
    • Health - check . . . he knew a washed up Roy that got dominated by Tarver and knocked cold by Johnson and dragged Ajamu and Hanshaw 12 rounds posed absolutely no threat to him.
Sheeeit, that was a free lunch for Calzaghe. All Calzaghe had to do was go to the register, pull the lever and take the cash.

If you think the Roy Jones you saw saturday was anything near the Roy Jones of the past then you swallowed the con job hook, line and sinker.

For both Roy and Joe I feel the same for both. THey both are great boxers and this fight was a fight that gave Roy one last shot at returning to greatness. For Joe it was more of a "feather in his cap" by getting a "W" over the once great Roy Jones Jr. Joe proved that he has a champions heart and deserves to be mentioned with the greats. He's beaten Bhop and Roy Jones....even though the wins were over older and past thier prime versions they are still better than 98% of the wins he has on the rest of his resume.

I'm gonna become President of the Joe C fan club now. Not because of his boxing ability but because of his outside of the ring intelligence. And Bobby Czyz used to claim he was a boxer/Mensa member. GTFO here. That title belongs solely to Joe f'n C!

I've always had the upmost respect for Roy, and yes, it did go up after watching this fight. He really did show heart out there; regardless of the cut, he kept coming and coming, although he really couldn't do much as he couldn't see a thing!

Everyone knows Roy's past it, and it was sad to see him get beat by a fighter who I, and many others, believe Roy would of demolished 8 years ago.

Roy's one of the greatest fighter's to step foot into the ring, and that won't change. Ever.
