    ggg said he would fight anyone from 154-168....but when he started getting called out, he went back to his euro bum tour, shooting tomato cans with his pellet gun

    He could careless about Cotto, just wants his title. Why doesn't Cotto just relinquish it if he is too small for 160.

    we americans have dumped more **** in that pond and on this planet than the rest of the world combined. and i highly doubt there's anything elite about your heritage. you could try tying the stars & stripes around your head in a knot, stand out in the rain and see if you can acquire 'elitism' by osmosis, tomato boy.

    Why would GGG have to drain himself just for cotto ? LOL same goes to you guys, it seems like cotto fans are also scared of him fighting GGG at 160, . Did you forget there is a title ?

    Yes, G wont fight Ward, and Ward wont fight Kova.

    But... G has no 'obligation' to fight Ward (in the traditional sense), people seem to keep forget these days (not you) with all the weight jumping that weight classes exist... and no fighter needs to venture out of their true weightclass if they arent outgrowing it, period.

    So G not fighting Ward... he has no 'obligation' to. Wards not even in his division.

    Ward not fighting Kova, is the same exact situation. Ward isnt fighting Kova.... but he has no obligation to.



    To compare guys who wont move up to take open challenges to 'The Champion' of a division not fighting the clearest and most rightful challenger to his title -in his own weightclass- I really dont see the comparison to be honest.


    Golovkin wants to, and has the right to, fight for the lineal title.

    He cant, because Cotto wont fight him (or so it seems)

    Golovkin wants to unify, and has that right as the clear number one/two in the division....

    He cant, because Cotto wont fight him



    Yes yes... boxing is a business.

    But to flip off these obvious issues, by laying down the well cited line of the business side of things, while not holding fighters at all to any sort of standard in boxing, again... to me is part of the problem.

    Its one thing to understand that things happen because of politics and business.... its another to excuse everything because of it, and not continue to try and voice for a higher standard.

    If Cotto has no intention of facing a top 5 middleweight, when from all signs so far they do not, why not just release the title?

    Instead he will defend it against someone who has no business fighting for it (Canelo) and who if he wins it, will likely be guided away from his rightful challengers too...

    Though Canelo has shown a high degree of pride in his opponent selection so hopefully that wont be the case when he moves up.



    I still hope that the Cotto vs Lee rumor is just that, and is out there to force down the paycheck price G is willing to take.
