I wouldn't say it's glass, he was KO'ed by a puncher known to KO durable guys and was caught with a huge shot when in a poor position to absorb the punch.

Whyte has an average chin, guys who can't punch won't hurt him, any big hitter will rock him to his boots if he gets caught with a good shot.

Whyte's biggest issue is he's there to be hit. He doesn't move his head, doesn't move his feet and he makes defensive errors which expose his chin at times. One of the reasons why he's so entertaining to watch is that he is so vulnerable to getting hit. We've seen him in so many fights where he's been on top and then got caught. Usually he gets up but Povetkin isn't a guy you want to take a bomb from even if you have a good chin.

Every time Whyte's been hurt by an uppercut he's been standing hunched over with his arms out. I'm not sure if he even sees the uppercuts coming, and if you can't see a shot you can't brace for it. Doesn't matter how good your chin is in that case.

He's taken some decent shots otherwise, but short uppercuts through his guard are definitely his kryptonite.

Would still give Whyte a good chance against wilder. Whyte is actually the better boxer, if that big right landed tho night night

That was no fluke shot either. Povetkin made the read and set it up perfectly. Incredible high level stuff. Povetkin is still one of the best KO artists in the sport even at 41.

Just goes to show that coming in 252lbs heavy didn't make much of a difference with Whyte. His legs went straight soon as the upper cut landed. But then, he has actually got quite a gangly frame. And putting on the extra mass like Joshua did. Wasn't gonna help his punch resistance when he got hit. Should be 240 or 230 in my humble opinion.

Doesn't matter. Wilder can lose six rounds out of six but he needs one chance to land that right hand. Everyone knows what happens when Wilder lands that right hand

Povetkin was looking like an old man in there, that upper cut saved him from the latter rounds

Yh do get what you're saying and if he landed that right that he probably would, the way Whyte leaves himself wide open definitely a possibility, if Whyte put him on the back foot and backed him up. Does have the inside advantage, but wilder won't ever fight him let's be honest. Only reason he took the first fury fight was he thought he was washed up and an easy scalp, must be regretting that now.

Wilder has made a career out of ducking opponents, not even throwing shi# around just facts

Best post on the thread. If Whyte fights an immediate rematch with Povetkin, Whyte will end up like Big John Tate.

Why can't people see this in certain fighters though, it's always been clear to see, he just hasn't got the game to be top level.

Don't get it, it's almost like ppl fall for all the bull like dazzled sheeple in the headlights...

    Oh, hang on!
