Agree, the povetkin loss had a bit of Price vs Tony Thompson about it for me. Ok, prime povetkin was better than Thompson but it exposed his flaws. His career is a lot of smoke and mirrors for me. He’s not a bad fighter and I enjoy watching him (been to most of his fights at the o2) but he’s been so well managed. Arguably Hearn’s greatest achievement, convincing the world he is a top 3/4 heavyweight and worthy of PPV. All while struggling with past it gatekeepers and drinking special shakes to get any edge he can. His vulnerabilities are what make him exciting to watch. He believed his own hype too much vs Povetkin.
