Agree with CST80, Lith, etc., Whyte only has a puncher's chance in my opinion. He doesn't have anything on Wilder except a tougher chin, Wilder far better in every other respect.
Wilder is too big, too long and too athletic for Whyte... It's a KO, but probably late because Wilder tends to start a bit late.
Wilder will not fight anyone who can fight back. He will run from Povetkin once again, refusing to fight him even if so ordered..............WADA/VADA and the WBC will help him avoid Povetkin once again. Although Povetkin was cleared of taking the drug, WBC still kept him from fighting Wilder. Wilder's next fight will be his 5th voluntary defense against another bum/wino................never allowed before..........
Dillan Whyte is just another 6 round sam peter. noproblem, but deontay will struggle to a points win.
while i agree they do spin a lot, they havent spun this. they havent said its a final eliminator, it says quite clearly its just an eliminator
Not a wilder fan, but his power definitely is not overrated, you get a chin tickler, you going to la la land.
Everyone is forgetting the fact that Wilders right hand, which is his main weapon will have undergone major surgery and could well result in his power being somewhat deminished. He could well land a few blows and find his right hand next to useless. If that happens it's any bodies fight. Also think that Whyte is still rehabbing his shoulder somewhat and may still be some way off his best. Also, if Whyte hurts Wilder, he ain't gonna **** about trying to finish him like some of Wilders previous opponents. I give Wilder a significant edge but, I certainly wouldn't right off Whytes chances.
You mean Chizzo or the pretty fly Whyte guy can become mando for the WBC belt now? Are they going to leave Povetkin standing in the cold to give Wilder another easy defense?
I wouldn't advise Whyte to take on Wilder because he would get knocked out and two bad knockouts could be it for him. It wouldn't surprise me if Eddie Hearn sent him out as a sacrificial lamb. I thought Whyte signed with Hearn because he believes in himself as a top heavyweight instead of being an early cashout. Send AJ out to fight Wilder instead. Whyte beats Chisora easy though. Chisora is a ****ing shot gatekeeper soon to be journeyman.
This. Whyte should go after Pulev or Jennings, since they'd be good for his resume and are winnable fights. I'd be shocked if Whyte lasted more than 7 rounds against Wilder.
