Moses doesn`t fight like Dubois, he`s faster and more mobile, Dubois constantly are jabs in that fight.
Nightmare? How ridiculous... I couldn't care less if Itauma beats Whyte... In fact, it adds some momentum to an interesting prospect and gives a drugs cheat another loss - all good in the world. A year ago this would've been unwise - now, it's probably less so, but still remains to be seen... It's a significant step forward for Itauma - I'm as keen as anyone to see if he's up to it. Urging sensible degrees of caution around unproven and highly hyped prospects is something I'm right about far more often than I'm wrong - I couldn't care less if a few mentally deficient posters want to claim some kind of victory on the rare occasions they got lucky, it's not exactly a problem, and it doesn't make them any smarter.
At this stage I favour Itauma. Whyte hasn't looked good for years and not mixed it up with anyone good in years. But this is still a step up for Itauma and a significant one. Whyte won't just be there to lay down and has a lot of experience at the top level unlike everyone else Itauma has faced so far. We've seen young fighters get "Old manned" before when they were thrown in too deep, too soon. But with how easy Whyte is to hit and Itauma's power, we should see Itauma get that big KO.
Why would it have been unwise? Your whole argument was that Itauma hasn't beaten anybody of Whyte's ilk. He still hasn't, and Whyte was shot then and he's shot now too. Itauma would've smashed Whyte as a seventeen-year-old.
More time has passed - when one fighter should be improving and the other will be declining, the passage of time has double the impact on how fast the gap closes (and how fast it widens once reversed)... This isn't complicated stuff. Shot isn't a flat line - levels still decline over time. It's still a difficult fight, it's probably still multiple steps beyond where Itauma's been yet - and there's still plenty of potential for it to backfire on the prospect... Hopefully it doesn't, because it's far more interesting if he wins, but it's a brave step forwards given how carefully he's been managed so far. Let's see.
Right step at the right time it seems like. Itauma has the tools to win this one convincingly. A lot will depend how rusty Whyte is. Bless either guy. Lesss gooo!
