I think Maloney has some sort of vested interest in Whyte. I think he's looked good so far. I remember Buncey picking him as his British prospect to watch in BM a couple of years ago.
Agreed on both counts, actually puts his man in situations and not a blatant pad slapper either. Saying that, not seen Whyte decimate his man yet, though he puts his shots together well. I really like the lad, but he has a roid-heavy physique IMO.

Yeah I love that pad work (I think his name is Chris Okoh), especially compared to Vince Cleverly on the pads :-( Found this old interview from before his pro-debut, Dillian talks about his kickboxing days, injuries & his problems with the amatuer system. Lovely shot but still not convinced. No hoper and still got up, but then I have got pretty high standards ;-)
He's fighting on Mickey Helliet show soon i believe Eurosport will televise. Two lads i boxed with Craig Whyatt and Ricky Boylan on same card. I'd like to see after this fight the lad fight a Carl Baker/Dallas/Hughes. No rush but needs to fight better standard to continue development. The 3 names above are winnable and will give him more of a test.
