I know it. I also know that there is a chance that if that fight happened that the s6 winner would be fighting a guy who couldn't even get into the semi finals of the tournament he just won to get the right to call himself the man of the division. But, just looking at it like that, would you take 2 guys who couldn't get to the point that the other semi finalists got to. So why not let the 3rd or 4th place finisher get a crack first?

But again, just playing the devil here. These 2 bowed out with injuries, they weren't eliminated. Although, it stands to reason that at the point they left the tourney, most likely only 1 or the other could have advanced. So it is entirely possible that the guy who, had they continued, may have only finished 5th or even 6th would get 1st crack at the tourney champ.

I say, if it is a good fight in the s6 finals, let the finalists rematch.

Dirrell and Bute fight. The winner fights Kessler for the right to fight the s6 winner.

Of course this makes as little sense as any of the others, so I don't know why I even bothered.

Kesslers the man who recently fought a close win against Froch in a war.

People underrated Mikkels willpower, I think anyone thinking he's ripe for the taking could be doing a BIG BIG mistake.

It makes a lot of sense. I'd like that. Bring Dirrell!

Its about time Bute brings his ass to USA and fights anywhere outside his hometown.

just so he can get robbed? gotta be worth the risk knowing that he's pretty much gotta fight his opponent, the ref, and the judges.

Agreed. Or maybe the winner of Dirrell-Bute could fight Kessler and set up a big old uni bout with the s6 winner.

I know you think Canada is a bastion of neutrality in the boxing world, but most others don't. It is no better or worse than anywhere else, proportionally. However, Dirrell has already been burned fighting abroad, so I imagine he might be more than a little reluctant. Bute has not fought anywhere, but seems willing to. Id say the fight, if it were to happen, would be in the US.

I would agree with you, but you're just giving Bute more time to cherrypick. Bute should be forced to fight a live opponent as his mandatory in his next fight.

    That could be possible if Dirrell had a fanbase. 16 000 X 120$ = a lot of money. 2000 X 60$ = not very much.

Money is the basis of any negociation. And the money says Montreal is the place to make more of it for both. But Mr. Magic doesn't seem to understand that.:deal

Which is probably why we won't see this fight. I just don't think Dirrell would go to Canada to fight Bute. Maybe I'm wrong.

kessler cant pressure fight and close the ring down, he fights on the outside.... no one can beat dirrell on the outside. he's to fast and too slick.
