I was totally unimpressed with Froch in his fight with Taylor. I believe Dirrell and Ward are the future of this division. Ward has a tough early draw in Kessler, we'll see how that plays out. Dirrell will be all in Froch's face and pressure him constantly. Love to see Ward v Dirrell to win this tourney.
Jay said it all right here. Froch is also willing to fight anyone, and you gotta love that about a fighter. Froch is the friggin' man.
A guy like Froch is tailor made for anybody who can box, he's there to be scored on repeatedly. The question when fighting Froch is never 'can you hit him?', it's 'can you take his intensity for 12 rounds?'. Just because there's tons of guys out there who can outbox him doesn't mean they can go the distance on their feet.
Wasn't Froch made to order for Taylor as well?? Froch's lack of technical ability would make many agree with this, but he put's on relentless pressure, has heavy hands and a very solid chin. t The technical guy doesn't always win!! Dirrell probably has the least to lose in this tournament which may help him. If he can win just one fight, he can still go on the be a huge force in this division and most will put his losses down to a lack of experience.
I am very interested in seeing what happens. I don't haven't seen much of either fighter but I think Dirrell will win. I do think that it will be a tough fight.
exactly.. on paper, every boxer with solid fundamentals, SHOULD beat froch, but he has some abilities, which even out his glaring weaknesses.
he has? i see nothing other than **** talk about him. your wrong on your assesment by the way.a lot of fighters should do a lot against froch but he still finds a way.
why you say that?? Ward has great boxing skills and beat the crap out of Miranda. Dirrel has great speed and a great jab from regular to southpaw stance, both have good footwork, I think you lost your mind
wat people are forgetting is that this fight is taking place in the UK. When he fought Taylor it was his first fight outside UK and against a Top level competition outside UK. When Froch fights in Not with his fans behind him he's a complete different animal. His intensity is alot higher and he's alot more loose. Till about the 7th round Froch was tense and seemed to let the occasion get the better of him The main question is can Dirrel handle thousands of English fans screaming 'who r u, who r u' for the duration of the fight plus when his foot lands in the UK. I know he said he's fought all over the place, but the crowd intensity for a proffesional match is completely different to the Ameaturs. Me thinks the pressure will get to Dirrel by the 6th Round....He's gonna feel like he's fighting 2 Cobra's and one's bad enough :hey
