i assume one also said that pre taylor-pavlik 2 too!

your right though next time around there will be no 'luck' involved when the bad intentional one sets foot on english tera-firma for the undoubted rematch, that is if kessler refrains from hospitalising him first!

I do hope you'll hold your hands up after the fight and admit you were wrong when Froch wins.

What are you talking about? Calzaghe-Lacy? Before that fight, Lacy was the IBF champion and had KO'd Robin Reid (who had given Calzaghe his most difficult fight). That's why he was the betting favorite.

Froch is the betting favorite here. He is the champion, and Dirrell is a nobody. If anything, you could say Froch is being overrated. Watch Foreman-Ali before you put your money on Froch.

i have picked dirrell to win by UD for reasons already stated in this and other threads...but it also wouldnt surprise me a bit if froch drags him into the trenches and overwhelms dirrell and ultimately ko/tko's him.

but a question for froch fans...well scratch that b/c i am a froch fan also...a question for those who feel that froch will win...

would any of you be surprised if dirrell can stick to his gameplan and win a wide UD???

Yes, I'd be very surprised if Dirrell won on points. Froch by stoppage, maybe even 'early doors'

Dirrell in for a rude awakening!!!!...yep, becoming champion and famous in one fight will be very rude for him...:yep

Just kidding, this will look like the taylor bout, Froch showing his poor boxing skills, getting his ass handed very well and finally knock the too green Dirrell out!!

Yeah I see Dirrell maybe starting fresher too but expending too much energy and falling short later. He's sseldom done a full 12 rounder at full workrate - Froch may be slow but one thing he is is a machine he is like Hopkins he eats very well and trains daily; he doesn't tire over 12 so I'm still going with my original Froch prediction.

I agree in some respects, but i think Froch will get to him much quicker than he got to Taylor.Whether its a good thing or a bad thing,Froch has a large ego, against Taylor he was suffering big time with his nerves and desperate to put on a show for the Americans.Because of this he tried to engage with Taylor and land his bombs, and was picked off in the process. At home and with the confidence of defending his title against a name fighter on foreign soil i think Froch will go head hunting much sooner.I see dirrell looking flashy and landing plenty of shots early on,this will be a combination of Dirrells skils and Frochs desire to finish him and hanging his chin out in the process, but i feel the tide will turn as soon as Froch catches Dirrell.
My prediction...... Dirrell to take the early rounds and look good,Froch to tag him in the middle rounds and finish him before the championship rounds.:good

I agree with all of this, maybe i've been to harsh with ''poor boxing skills'' I just don't think he can compete with Dirrell speed, footwork and upper body movements, but his war with Pascal and his very tough fight with Taylor will give him a BIG edge over the young gun. Still I don't count Andre out, but his only chance to win is to bring his A game and keep it for 12 rounds, if he slow down or if he became over confident, Froch will find a way to his chin BIG TIME!! I don't give a **** about AA, I want to see Kessler vs Froch in the final....:bbb

That'd be awesome especially as they're both sue to fight each other for their 2nd fight; that'd be one hell of a rematch!! I think Dirrell vs Kessler would be interesting though.

****, half the excitement for me's going to be seeing them match up in the weigh in!!!!!:happy

Translation: the truth hurts and I can't refute anything you've said.

My post said nothing? Really?? Dumb ****.

My post said nothing? Funny how yours always say the same thing, eh?

Not a fan of long posts, Hudson? Here's a more succinct one for you to digest:

Your opinion is as meaningless and insignificant to me as a turd floating in the Hudson River, and your motives are as transparent as a glass *****. Want to know where you can stick that *****???
