Apparently ward has rubbished these demands saying all contracts were signed before the tournament began. I still expect the bout to go ahead but 2010 has become ridiculous for negotiating - bringing boxing to its knees Dirrells Unlce says "It still ain't made yet. The money has got to be right and it's going to have to be in a neutral venue, it ain't going to be in Ward's home town. This is a superfight, the biggest in the tournement and a fight people want to see, 50-50 split would be great, but we just wan't it to be fair. If the moneys not rigth there will ne no fight, period" Ward says "All of our money was set before we signed our contracts. We had the mzimum we could make if we continued to win and your money is reduced if you lose, but it's different for each fighter. But the money was already locked and set. I don't understand the whole 50-50 thing because becuase he was going to get the same money whether he fught me this fight or Arthur Abraham. After the fight with Allan Green everybody had a verbal agreement that it would be a neutral territory. Dirrell said Oakland is out of the question and they have to understand too that Detroit's out of the question because I'm the champ. I think Vegas is the natural venue." Froch says "If you leave the tournement you have to retire. end of story"
I'm surprised Ward isn't willing to budge on the split, with them being friends and all. It definitely shouldn't be in Oakland though, that would be a disgrace.
For once, I think Dirrell is NOT being a *****. The hometown thing for Ward was a stupid thing to agree to before the Super Six started. I still think Ward will beat seven shades of **** out of Dirrell.
2 top american fighters, fighting for a world title, in a big tournament. How can that not be promoted in Vegas or somewhere?

. Really though, dirrel has a good point. Why not have it in vegas?, they're both american so it shouldn't be a problem. Ward seems to be thinking above his station a bit too much for me. It would be a shame if he pulled out, I think he'd have a very good chance of ending all the hype over ward
Hometown? i assumed this 1 would be in Vegas or MSG. 50/50 also seems fair to me, they both have 1 good win and havent really done much else. Plus they're pals aint they?
I can't see Dirrell pulling out as he has a good chance of winning the tournament! Not saying he will but he has a good chance!
i dont reckon they will be for much longer if this continues the way it is. can see Dirrell getting pretty pissed with Ward.
Ward does 10,000 seats in Oakland for Kessler. Dirrell did 2,000 for Abraham. Ward is Wolrd Champion. The fight should be where the money is end of story.
