Well if you look back at any of frochs other fights youll see that he has never used roughouse tactics!!
He was made to by dirrells constant clinching.. STOP nuthugging dirrells balls and watch it unfold with non partisan colours!

:yep The guy is always going to lose to a guy that will keep him moving...He just proved what I've always thought of him...He's a good fighter that relies on his power and heart, because he doesnt have any skills IMO.

    Wrong:

    clean punching
    effective aggression
    ring generalship
    defence

    In that order.

Both were hopeless at the first two early on - Dirrell wasn't landing a clean anything (neither was Froch) and while Froch's aggression was ineffective, he was showing some at least, unlike Dirrell.

So, it comes down to the next two... well, Dirrell was being chased around the ring - so not exactly controlling the fight, was he? So it goes to Froch.

Defence - he was avoiding shots, but not through defence - it was keeping out of range and then not firing back with anything meaningful - so it's hard to give him much credit.

Would it have been unfair if Dirrell won? No. Was it unfair that he lost? No.

It was a close fight with very little to score on because Dirrell was so negative and Froch was so clueless. Is this adding up for you?

Wrong. Dirrell was nailing Froch from the word go with effective and precise counters when Froch would wade in with his hands at his waist. Dirrell ripped him apart and really took it to Froch and he won every exchange in the final rounds.

    Try again.

 Its kinda hard to say Froch has skilled after the display he put on Saturday night...I mean if you had any decent skills wouldnt you know how to cut the ring off and enfore your game plan on your opponent??

Froch didnt show that IMO, he showed he couldnt adapt to a fighter that uses lateral movement...He showed he gets frustrated when he doesnt have his way.

Exactly, and the reason he got the win over Taylor is not because he is the better skilled of the two, its because Taylor in all of his big fights falls asleep at the wheel, he doesnt get tired (Taylor) its more of a mental thing with him in those late rounds, that played right into Frochs style....

Taylor feel asleep Froch snuck out the win.......

Dirrell clearly beat him IMO.... The WBC should review the tape and order a rematch...

I had Froch winning by one point after all is said and done, I believe there to be a valid argument that it was a draw or a close victory for Dirrell

It is ironic that Dirrell did quite well when standing and attacking late in the fight, if he had done that all night with success than maybe he would have got the KO (or been KO'd) or at the very least won some fans instead of frustrated fans of both fighters.

Froch obviously fouled numerous times however I agree with Froch that he was, at times, reacting to what he was given.

Agreed,:good I'm liking Dirrell chances in a rematch...He didnt seem bothered by the crowd and he did fairly decent with this being his first major step up in comp...In a neutral site, he murderes Froch. Hell, he beat him in his own backyard the first place IMO.

I've been watching the sport for 40 years and only disagree with one bit of that statement. The 'urguably' part.

People slag him off and berate him constantly, but when you look back in 20 years you'll be glad to have had the opportunity to watch him in his prime. He is, unquestionably in my opinion, a boxing genius.

    Can't stand him.

Froch was missing so much he had to resort to shoolyard tactics by trying to hide his right hand behind him.

He could have chopped his arm completely off , had one of his fans shoot it at Dirrell with a rocket launcher and it would have still missed:yep
