the trainer just cares about his pocket. dirrel got neurological damage based on the MRI or CATscan or whatever was used the **** cant be taken lightly.
I think it's fair enough. It doesn't seem like the situation was manipulated - they purely captured the Dirrel camp's responses to that line of questioning. They gave them enough rope and they hanged themselves. Right from the off his whole camp has had a highly unprofessional vibe about it, and this was the icing on the cake. "Errrrr, we need a lawyer"
Why the hell would they need to plead against self incrimination unless they had something self incriminating, lol?
This is my stance on it too. I've said a few times that Dirrell fears Ward and the obvious reply is, is that Dirrell has just faced two bigger punchers than Ward, so what does he have to fear? I don't think it's a fear of being hurt or knocked out, but a fear of losing. It's actually a realistic fear though because, if Dirrell lost, where would he be? He'd be out of the competition with the lowest reputation of any of the initial 6, after the terrible showing against Froch, a DQ win and, probably, a clear loss against a better fighter in Ward. So where would that leave his prospects? As I said, he'd have the lowest reputation of the 6 and isn't marketable, so what's the most he could hope for? Given that he has had some awful fights, I doubt he'd even be an undercard fighter for Showtime and we know HBO will never show his fights again. ESPN? Possibly but he'd struggle to earn big money that way. If Dirrell fought Ward, I'm sure he'd lose and, if he did, his future would be so bleak. Showtime wouldn't stick with him, he couldn't go back to HBO so he would be better off pulling out. That way, he has a few months away from serious training, to practice a few things, get his head right and come back a better fighter. The fight with Ward would be more marketable than it is now, especially if Ward goes on to win the Super 6, in which case it would be pretty big money. I just don't see how Dirrell would have realistically benefited from staying in the competition. Obviously if he had beaten Ward, it would have been a bad choice to pull out, but there is a risk/reward factor and, for Dirrell, there is much less risk and much more reward, in pulling out at this stage.
Any real fan knows he was robbed by England on Froch and he schooled Abraham. There is more to Boxing than punching hard.
That cocksucker has got a nasty habit of dropping to his knees & tugging at his opponent's shorts (ouch with the slave bit, R!)
Sorry Bunny mate, hate to do this to you but you spelt his name wrong. It's Dr Shaw . . . erm . . . . High .phd
My bad Shaun, been feeling a little punchy ever since watching ep.8 He cured my AIDS, don't you know? (I think the "erm" is some kind of medical credential anyway :think)
