I figure he'd have problems making 147 since he hasn't fought there since 2001. He's probably got a really good team around him though, he can afford the best help who monitor his every meal.
I think it could be a major problem for him. People are asking "How will Pacquiao look at 147lbs"....but he fights at 147lbs, so he'll be comfortable. De La Hoya is going to be really weak at the weight. If he is truly drained, I expect Pacquiao to win.
I think DLH's power is being underplayed in this match. At 147, I consider DLH a good puncher, I think he hits harder than Pac at that weight.
Haha. It's interesting how this has played out... Roach claims Pacquiao has been weight 150+ throughout training lately. DLH claims he's been weighing around 145 throughout training lately. Who'd thunk it??? More likely, it's just lies being spewed out but it's still funny.
