Post the reference whoever edited that got that information from? It doesn't exist. All the references on that page that make mention of weight say it was 147. "Pacquiao (48-3-2, 36 knockouts), who put the finishing touches on one of the most sensational achievements in boxing history, upsetting De La Hoya (39-6) at 147 pounds in the same year he won world championship fights at super featherweight (130) and lightweight (135), said his speed was the difference" This content is protected "De La Hoya has not fought at 147lbs since 2001. Pacquiao has fought at 135lbs only once, last time out beating David Diaz for his world lightweight crown. If the deal had been struck at 145 lbs, or even better 140lbs, then De La Hoya would have had to completely fry himself and the fight would have been more on Pacquiao's terms. Manny has a chance against anybody." This content is protected 147 WEIGHT 147 This content is protected The rest of the major issues, from the maximum weight to the size of the gloves, were agreed upon, with Pacquiao getting his way on a 147-pound weight limit and 8-ounce gloves. wikipedia, everyone can edit it. based on wikipedia, me and a couple of my colleauges at work are philippine celebrities of past famous TV show without anyone bothering to correct it. Boxing Fanatic has been reduced to a rumor mongering poster. :yep
Is the public privy to their paperwork or contracts, are you seriously willing to believe DLH and Arum, anybody with a brain can see some funny **** was going on with Oscar weighing in 2 pounds under the limit, then him "surprisingly" not being to rehydrate, people have to use their brains.
Me? a *******? You just call anybody that who doesn't agree with you. I'm a grown-ass man who likes boxing; I come on here occasionally to look at some interesting stuff so don't get me involved in that *******/ ***** bull****. The only good verifiable sources I have come across have said 147 for the dlh-Pacman fight.
Use yours *******. atsch All reputable sources said 147. Paranoia isnt a source, although that's a floyd fanboy thing it seems...
Let us play this game. let us list all the ******s who would believe in Boxing Fanatic's claim that the fight was done at 145 catchweight. 1. Boxing Fanatic 2. sbbigmike anymore ******s out there?
Well, maybe those two idiots finally got it and left. Expect two 'new' floyd fanboys to join the forum.
The year that Pac and Hoya fought, internet was not available at Dominican Republic yet. So how in the hell would you know?
Boxing Fanatic was semi-trolling this time but ssbigmike was actually serious. these *****s are as gullible as 8 year old kids.
it was 147. Oscar had not fought at that weight for many years so when he made mayweather come up to 154 a year earlier and lost but allowed manny to fight him at 147, the public knew that this was a farce right from the beginning. Pc has stipulations like millions of dollars for every pound over but balked at a drug test by both fighters, hmmm!!!
Typical **** talking floyd fanboy. atsch You can't even be a ****in man and admit you are wrong. You're just a stupid spoiled child with his fingers in his ears...
