If Cotto/Margarito is everything but one sided DLH will be all over the winner. I'm not a hater but it just really frost my ass thinking about DLH being all over a worn out winner. Cotto or Margarito would be a fool to fight as soon as December, even if it weren't against DLH.

Is this some kind of pre-fight excuse in case Cotto or Marg loses to DLH? I'm sure Cotto or Marg (likely Cotto) aren't going to agree to fight DLH on the 27th of July.

Props to DLH if he chases down Cotto, he isn't exactly a pushover and DLH is over the hill, that is a ballsy move.

Which is ballsier my friend? Which is ballsier?

I'm not making excuses but if DLH were to win he'll get way too many retirement points for damn near perfect timing :D

If DLH happens to beat Cotto ... that would definitely set up another mega fight with the recently retired PBF.

I don't care if the winner fought 2 weeks after July 26th. DLH is not beating either one of them.

De La Hoya is not about to beat Miguel Cotto, no matter what the scenario.

Oscar showed he's at the end of the road against Forbes. Cotto, and especially Margarito would smash DLH to pieces.

Oscar can't win. If he beats a guy there is always excuses. The guy was too far past his prime or oscar was bigger than him and now even if he fights and beats an elite guy in his prime there is more excuses already starting.

I truly doubt it. Hoya's own words were something like, "If Mayweather is pulling his games (retirement) to get a fight next year when I am one year older, he's crazy." I'm not saying Mayweather was scared but I know he did not want to fight Oscar for whatever reason, money, lack of money (all he had to do was visit any forum and see how pissed people were), not wanting to further divide relationship with Sr.. But the fact remained he retired after pulling out of a mega-mega fight that he himself has been asking for since May 2007. I'm sure Oscar won't be the one to bring Mayweather back in.

DLH should only get the winner of that fight if he continues with his plan to make 147. He shouldn't have the luxury of that fight being at a catchweight.

I'm sure for the 10 million Cotto or Margarito would earn, they would not mind the fight being at 150.

WTF is this all about ? July to December is plenty of time its not like hes asking them to go from a war in September right back into training for December. The winner if they fight DLH will have all of August and September alittle of October to rest up before training. People just make **** up about DLH to complain.
