Dmitry Bivol vs Michael Eifert likely for Spring

Beterbiev was interviewed a few weeks ago and said Bivol turned down a huge offer for the trilogy fight. You are trying to deflect from Bivol's actions when he is the one who delayed, and taken elective surgery and now wasting everyones time fighting a nobody.

Fighting pointless mandatories when you are undisputed at his age is the biggest waste of time possible. The glory is in winning the belts, not defending them vs bums. He had no issue dropping the belt for Benavidez so why not drop it for eifert?

 

So none of you have any proof, or even a shred of evidence that Beterbiev´s team reached out to Bivol before the Saudi´s got involved.
And all 3 of you are now talking about the third fight instead.

 

Whatever you call it it rubbed a lot of us the wrong way. Beterbiev gave Bivol his immediate rematch lost and Bivol stiffed him. The fact Beterbiev was 40 and if they fight again Beterbiev will be a minimum of 42 makes it worse.

 

Of course he didn't have issues taking the immediate rematch Beterbiev had all the belts.

Its not him being unwilling to fight Bivol its more stacking the deck so he can't lose the rubber match. By not giving Beterbiev an immediate rematch Bivol set it up so Beterbiev either loses and Bivol doesn't have to fight him or Bivol fights Beterbiev at a later date when Beterbievs chances of winning are much lesss. Not only is this aging out this might be the new example to put in the dictionary.

 

Again, I asked about the first fight and everyone is screaming about the second and third fights. No one has any proof that either side tried to make a unification fight before the Saudi´s got involved.

Either way Beterbiev gave him fight 2 when he held all the cards and Bivol refused to give him fight 3 when he had them. Who wanted to do fight 1 when they were on even footing is neither here nor there. They were on even footing.

 

it's about time. Meanwhile Eifert is waiting nearly 3 years for his chance.

 

I think he has an interim lineage too from when Pascal got the interim.

Still Eifert is only 26 years old. He has time to be wasted. Beterbiev doesn't.

 

Exactly he is wainting since he won the interim Titel vs Pascal. Beterbiev had his 2 big fights with Bivol. It's time for Bivol to fight his mandatory.

 

He didn't offically get the title. He has that interim titles lineage but Pascal was stripped before Eifert beat him.

Also I think hes a mandatory for a different ABC then the one hes got the interim lineage for.

 

Couldn't be any more obvious to me that, prime for prime, Beterbiev is better than Bivol.

 

Bivol is finally returning this Saturday. Always a pleasure seeing him box.
