Nielsen is hurt by a 1-2 and ties up. Chudinov is jabbing straight in as Nielsen dances lightly around him gingerly tapping in right body jabs and throwing kitten-paw hooks. Accidental head clash ruled by Mark Nelson as Nielsen jumps into a clinch, from which Chudinov is cut. Hard jabs high and low by Chudinov, aggressive, following through on each with a strong forward step. Lots of clinching by Nielsen, even as Chudinov plugs him in the belly with dissuasive right uppercuts every time he jumps in.

Round 8

Chudinov is jabbing hard, forcing Nielsen into foxholes along the ropes and in the corners. Hard body shots by Chudinov, right uppercuts and left hooks. Nielsen is tying up whenever he can but Mark Nelson is growing less and less generous with garbage time allowed, breaking almost immediately when Nielsen starts to clinch. Nielsen is running, holding out his right arm. BIG LEAPING LEFT HOOK BY CHUDINOV, barely whiffing as Nielsen drops his face to one side while circling left. Chudinov tries another leaping hook and is caught in a clinch. Nelson is now shouting "break" every two seconds.

Even though Nielsen is being uncooperative, I find myself kind of feeling inclined to hold Chudinov responsible for ending this soon. (at the risk of ultimately calling this a disappointing effort despite in all likelihood ending up a 120-108 that was thoroughly one-sided throughout...)

He can obviously hurt Nielsen. Just trap him and unload.

 

Well, Nielsen has had some weak victories against lesser opponents, who caused him a lot of problems, so it really isn't the first time he's looked bad/"exposed".
He is generally not good against fighters who keeps pressuring him. He's not good at opening up opponents either.

I think this is news to very few people in Denmark, despite Sauerlands PR efforts (the media has been critical of his level of opposition, so Im not sure I agree that danish media has played a huge role in building him up).

Though I must afmit that I thought he had learned from those poor performances and he did, as I said, look sharper than usual in his last fight.

The more surprising thing might actually be how good Chudinov looks, handling Nielsen as he is.

After his draw with Mendy a lot of people wrote him off altogether as a prospect, unfairly IMO.

 

Round 9

Chudinov is forcing the issue, keeping Nielsen's back to the ropes with the jab. Nielsen tries fending him off with the southpaw 1-2 dropped from above standing at full height but Chudinov is able to duck it and keep working the body with hooks. Nielsen is jabbing overhead as Chudinov prods him into the ropes with a right hand.
