Would love to see this and the winner should get a shot at Martinez.

Pirog points imo. Gennady showed that he can be pretty troubled by boxers, especially ones with good head movement in a fight against Ouma. And Pirog is better than Ouma in that department. I don't think Pirog could KO Gennady as he seems like a tough kid but I do think that it goes to distance and Pirog gets the decision.

I don't know what people see in Golovkin tbh. Pirog's just a better schooled fighter

Dont think Golovkin would be knocked out, because he has a good chin, that means it goes the distance Pirog has to keep away from Golovkins enormous power in both hands for 12 rounds,Great fight would love to see it happen but will give it to Golovkin.!!!!!

I reckon GGG has the boxing ability to catch Pirog at some point and KO him, though Pirog on points is a good shout too.

Pirog reminds me of a young Monzon, but Golovkin knows how to handle every style. He kod Bute in the ams and hes a non flashy fighter gets the work done. I would definitely pay to see this one. Pirog needs to fight in Germany or USA to get noticed more. Hopefully they showup at Sergios fight vs Macklin and call him out. I really think Sergio should unify. Its a pity Universum is ignoring Golovkin and putting Sturm over him. I get the feeling Sturm is more popular than Golovkin why) s that?

Neither are with Universum any more.

Sturm definitely isn't and I'm 98% sure GGG isn't either.

I hope it happens! If not then Pirog-Geale and Sturm-Golovkin.

Pirog a G, Gennady a GGG... So mathematically Golovkin should win easy :bart

Pirog was in two wars lately and got hit by a lot of flush power shots. Golovkin can be outboxed/outworked by a busy and defensively sound elite level boxer, but Dmitri's D is far from being top level and it takes just one shot from GGG to change the fight. He's no Lemieux, he has master timing and very sharp counters so you better not leave yourself open. Pirog's half-slick style however has a lot of opening that won't cut it.

Say Sturm's shell is pretty solid and might trouble Golo just by jabbing all night and not throwing him a bone while a prime Wright would be an absolute nightmare for GGG's styke, but Pirog takes far too many chances and is far too open. Anyone picking him should actually watch his last two fights vs. less than stellar opposition and tell me if you think he can avoid Gennady's bombs because I just can't see it.

    Great fight, bring it on.
