Bivol competes next Thursday (not tomorrow, a week from tomorrow) against Felipe Romero, who is on a Mexican domestic streak of 3-0 (2) since his loss to Usyk. Also on the card will be Sergey Kuzmin picking clean the bones of the once capable (or at least, once dangerous, at least at cruiser) Darnell "The Ding-A-Ling Man" Wilson. I hope this card's televised. :think
Sergey Kuzmin is a fat slob, he really is repulsive meanwhile there's a handsome young fighter from Belarus named Sergei Kuzmin who in my opinion is far better than the fat one, yet no one knows who he is.
Yeah, he is probably the best Russian prospect, but i have questions about his weight, he has never made LHW limit. Btw, he looks here like a famous Russian rock star Viktor Tsoy: http://www.metronews.ru/_internal/gxml!0/r0dc21o2f3vste5s7ezej9x3a10rp3w$ng7u9k9tpavdr83ew8xlmc9olwsqgtc/bivol.jpeg http://www.uznayvse.ru/person/tzoj/1835.jpg
Yet he's facing better competition than most heavyweight prospects in his first few fights lol, go figure... His physique may be appalling, but his opposition so far hasn't been.
I was just coming to post about his weight. He doesn't look fat or anything. Not only has he not made LHW limit yet, but I also saw a picture of him recently alongside Mekhontsev, who also fights at LHW, and he looked bigger than Egor by a good amount.
It's shocking how many people don't. Hopkins fought half his career at SMW....only had something like 24 of his 46 MW fights at 160. I remember some idiot making a thread and insisting Makabu moved up to HW because he took a tune up and the opponent was over 200.
Well that's a grey area. Sure, it was only slightly over 200 and Makabu himself came in underneath the CW limit, but that Hungarian guy does mostly compete at heavyweight, averaging 208ish at the weigh-ins. (though he sometimes makes Cruiser) So calling that a heavyweight contest wouldn't be wrong necessarily, but parsing that Makabu had "moved up" a division based on that is a bit silly, yes.
