That's quite a big completely unproven assumption you just made. Neither of us have the foggiest idea how that match would turn out, one thing I can almost guarantee Smith would obliterate Murat and Shumenov.

So what are you saying? If Bivol beats Smith Jr. he deserves no credit for it because he's a bum? Will Smith meets him? Does that mean Dmitry is a bum?

I think Bivol will win a decision.

I like Smith Jr (really any blue-collar fighter) but he really is a limited slugger. I think the gap between the two (levels) is too wide for Mr. Smith. I wish him the best and I won't be upset if he proves me wrong but I don't think he is winning this fight.

This will look similar to Golovkin lemuix except maybe minus the stoppage.

Bivol going to get surgical on joe.

Smith is a very live dog here. It would not surprise me if he wins. Bivol has looked like chit his last two outings.

I would be surprised if it were even very competitive, as Smith isn't much of a boxer, but there's always the chance he lands something big outta nowhere.
So call it a punchers chance for Smith.

Bivol by late stoppage, with Smith taking a beating up to that point.

As much as I like Joe Smith, I can'y see him winning this one. Bivol will use his superior skills, speed and ring IQ to box Joe's ears off and wear him out. He'll then proceed to methodically dismantle him and finish him off in the late rounds.

I agree with this. Smith Jr has a puncher's chance, maybe a little more than that, but I'm expecting a reasonably dull clinic.

Smith's Top 3 wins are Fonfara, Hopkins (51 yo) and? I don't know. Smith is overrated in my opinion. He's an one-dimensional brawler with good power and decent chin. He won't be able to box with Bivol. He was outclassed by Barrera and without that KD it would be a shutout decision for Barrera. Now look what Bivol did to Barrera. He showed he's one class above him in EVERY department. Smith needs a lucky punch to win here, he's having a punchers chance though, but i would not count on that too.

Bivol UD or late stoppage if Smith is going all in. Actually i am looking forward to this one. Smith Jr despite being one-dimensional is an entertaining guy and i want to see how Bivols handles the pressure and power.

I can't see how Smith can win a round against Bivol, unless there's a flash knockdown.

I will be rooting for Smith Jr but Bivol will out work him to a UD win.

Am I missing something or was this not announced on a rather short notice?

Smith via spectacular KO in another Upset Of the Year, which in reality shouldn't be a big upset at all.
