    remember I was only 13 when I weighed 52kg but 11 stone 8 does seem a hell of a lot for 5 foot 7

yeah it is. but ive dropped back down to 11st which aint too bad plus before my fight i should lose a couple of pounds so that will take me to 10st 12 which is the welter limit. Easy Peasy Lemon Squeezy.

Im not exactly a skinny guy and ive got a strong build for my size so thats where the extra weight comes from im guessing lol.

Well yeah, i sparred a light welter/welter weight at my gym who kicked my ass but hes probably one of the best there and that was the 3rd time ive sparred but there were times when i had him with a few good shots and i held my own and didnt go down and the dude was hitting me hard. i held my guard up and threw some hooks to the body when i got in close.

Cant wait for my first fight tho, win or lose i just love this sport. I just want to fight people my size so thats why i was concerned about weight issues a little bit. so i reckon ill be fighting either the end of the year or start of the next.

also one more thing, my clubs putting on a show in a few weeks so i might buy a ticket to go support the lads from my gym like.

you shouldn't have to buy a ticket to watch lads from your own club

why not? boxing is a business. if you are going along as a supporter you have to pay, everyone does.

i never thought of amateur boxing as being a business.
on a lot of the shows that i was on,we were part of the entertainment along with singers and comedians(bernard manning once)
