Before this starts I'm not talking about angles, for example like Mike Tyson angles. I'm talking about lateral movement. Like getting Inside Laterally NOT Angles.
I'm talking about pure inside fighters, not the ones who are boxer punchers like Manny Pacquaio who can fight both outside and inside I'm not talking about those type of fighters.
I'm just talking about pure inside fighters that don't use any other type of style

If someone is primarily an inside fighter or swarmer then they don't use lateral movement because that's not part of that style. Those kinds of fighters that swarm / in-fight AND box using lateral movement are most likely the ones who are already complete, versatile, all round fighters and don't have one specific style since they can do anything in the ring. Perhaps they started out as more of an aggressive in-fighter or swarming attacker and then slowly developed their boxing skills using more lateral movement such as guys like Roberto Duran, Bernard Hopkins, Azumah Nelson, Evander Holyfield, and Marco Antonio Barrera. Or maybe you're asking if there's been instances where an inside fighter / swarmer had to use a different tactic in a few fights that opted them to switch up their styles with either more movement based on the opponent they were facing such as when Julio Cesar Chavez fought Rocky Lockridge.

Lateral movement outside of range of engagement? Ring cutting, essentially.

Lateral movement when both in range and throwing? Angles, but you mentioned them.

what about pure inside fighters. Not boxer punchers, Holyfield was a boxer puncher he can fight both outside and inside. But what about a full inside fighter one that doesn't have any other style. Do they use lateral movement or 99% of the time they don't and I'm not talking about angles im talking about full on lateral movement

Most pure infighters won't use lateral movement because their style is to get in close in the pocket as much as possible by cutting off the ring. Unless they're using the darting in and out method like fighters such as Pacquiao, Lomachenko, Usyk, Bivol, Calzaghe.

But do you know any pure inside fighter who uses lateral movement to get inside. Or basically none at all that are pure insider fighters.

I think Emanuel Navarrete and Artur Beterbiev are probably the closest guys that you're looking for. They both will move on the outside to pick their spots and then will charge in quickly to overwhelm their opponents on the inside. Even then I don't think they count as your typical pure inside fighters.

Would you say Inside Lateral movement is beneficial, or has more downsides

It all depends on the fighters and how they use their styles to their full advantage. There's always going to be benefits and weaknesses.

Benefits: Using lateral movement and then diving inside can help neutralize a fighter's offense.
Disadvantage: A good counterpuncher can offset that game plan.

I'm assuming you're someone who is in training trying to figure out your style. Talk to your trainer and see what works best for you. Guarantee they have more helpful tips and answers for you.
