The same Angulo who turned down a fight with Kassim Ouma to fight retired welter weight Cosme Rivera, then won the WBO title against Joe Yorgey and gave up the title so he wouldn't have to fight Dzinziruk, and then prices himself out of two oppurtunities to fight Martinez?

I don't think Angulo is hungry at all.

I want Lee vs Ishida. Ishida doesn't deserve a fight with Pirog or Martinez, yet anyway.

This is a case of boxing fans overreacting to the results of one fight. Before fighting Kirkland, Ishida was a lighter weight fighter without very many wins by KO so he was perceived as being an easy fight vs an opponent who could fight for a few rounds but not dangerous enough to KO Kirkland. I think Kirkland completely disrespected his opponent and entered the ring completely unprepared so he lost and he deserved to lose too but prior to that Ishida may have been good enough to get some kind of alphabelt championship without looking like an explosive worldbeater. My guess is that Ishida will most likely stay in the "safe opponent" category for the remainder of his boxing career.

Well, being in the minority I've seen him in twice (probably only people in Japan have seen him more than that) and haven't been bored either time.

    He's definitely TV worthy.

Ishida didn't get lucky in this fight, he had a great game plan. Instead of hooks, all he did was shoot straight punches that Kirkland had no defense for. Kirkland was hurt by everything he got hit with. And Ishida is definitely star material, you wanna know why? Because he got a great smile.

Not just Ishida, Nishioka, and Uchiyama all three. Sick of watching shitty fights. These guys bring something fresh and new to the table.I have never seen a Japanese Boxer on HBO. Alot of slick boxers are on there Boring ass to death like Calderun and alexander and weird thing is they are being top dollar for that crap.I am also becoming a fan of Japanese boxing and Korean films. LOL.

I'd like to see Ishida again but in the right kind of fight. I don't want to see him facing Martinez, I think Martinez has to set the bar for his next fight higher than that. Let Ishida rematch Kirkland, that would be very interesting. Put him in with a middleweight trying to move into bigger fights like Guerrero, Jacobs, or Andy Lee. I also wouldn't mind seeing him face Paul Williams in Williams return. I think I'd prefer someone a little higher ranked than Ishido but if Williams can't line up someone solid than Ishido is an ok option.
