If you are asking If "Olympic Style Blood Testing is Warranted in Boxing" Then the answer is yes. But before you ask the question, you should know what you are asking.

The Olympic Style Blood Standard for Testingg calls for Random testing during non-competition times. The sampling of blood is done to create a profile for the athlete which in turn is used as a bases for the presents of banned substances through urine testing. The standard was created after congress question leading lab specialists why over 10,000 athletes were test not a single athletes testing positive, yet among those same athletes confessed to using HGH. The experts answer was that you can not catch the athlete during competition because they have already cycled off the drug. They also said the time for them to cycle the drug was when they would be on it during non-competition. It was also stated that there was no guarantee that random testing would catch Athletes. And further stated that the primary use of random testing is a deterrent rather than preventative measure. Thus the Olympic Style Testing.

That fight was a 144 catchweight fight. Floyd weighed in at 146. NOT 148, or 153, but 146!!

And since he doesn't blow up after the weigh in, it didnt matter (as Pac fans love to say to justify him making JMM move to 147).

And anyway, 1 Million dollars as a fine, I can see. 3 million? A bit much, but hey, this is the biggest fight ever, why not?

    But 10 million???:rofl:rofl:rofl:rofl:rofl

Don't be a known cheat and people won't put rules in place so that you don't cheat again.:hey:deal

Again lets address this one person agreeing to everything. So one side should just agree to everything in the drug test? Going by your train of thought they have the right too. And yes they did agree to the cutoff date. But Floyd said he was on vacation and there was no negotiation. Words directly from his mouth. Even when an executive from HBO said their was and that they tried desperately to make it happen.

Don't cheat and people won't ask for such a thing. Pathetic how you guys defend his cheating by making excuse that he only weight this much without ever intending to honor the agreed weight yet try and say he's cleaning up the sport. Hypocrite.

Yet another ASSUMPTION which is completely wrong. A professional athlete can benefit from using EPO ONE WEEK before competition and 14 days is actually IDEAL for maximum benefits. Ironic that they were seeking a 7 to 14 day cutoff period :think.

I'm sure where some of you are getting your information.

Guys like you 'throw **** out there', I speak on what I know. A medical student specializing in pharmacy might know a little bit more than the average Joe on this matter don't you think?

And to answer your pointless question, RANDOM testing can be stopped at any given time... the point is not when they choose to stop it, the point is that it stays RANDOM. The fact that the test was RANDOM UNTIL THE DAY OF THE FIGHT implied that at any point up until the fight, either one of these guys COULD have been tested. That is the point. OSDT is random as to DISCOURAGE PED abuse first and foremost.

You guys only listen to the experts when it supports your perspective. Conte has spoken at great length about the NECESSITY of OSDT and people are still saying the same ignorant ****.

Was about to post the exact same thing.

Fact is their are people out there who are uncomfortable/freaked out with blood being drawn (NOT NEEDLES!!!). If a fighter does indeed have such a phobia then it's obviously going to have an impact say, 5 days out.

A 10-14 day cut off pre fight with random testing year round is a fair compromise imo.

Again if you are going to throw **** out there , please name the drug. I don't give a damn what you claim to be over the internet. You completely avoided the question and gave some ****ed up excuse on how your a medical student. Amazing how many medical student is on this site. And no this is not OSDT. That would imply yearly random testing. This is just random testing with a specified start and stop date. The start being kick of and the stop Being either the day before fight or sometime before that. You can't even see that fact! This doesn't discourage **** cause effective HGH is taken of season with steroid. But your dumb ass medical student wouldn't even know that.

Please answer the question about the magical effective 14 days out drug or STFU!!

    Medical student :rofl:rofl:rofl
