even a few days after the fight i have a hard time coming back to my normal senses. if it's a fighter i like and loss i'm in a deep depression and if it's a fighter i like that won i'm happy for like an entire week. took me a long time to come to grips with jt's losses to pav, froch, and AA. took me a long time to accept pac's loss to morales, mosley's losses to forrest, winky, cotto, and pbf.
Only if i have a vested interst4ed int he fight- if the fighter is a friend of mine, i have money on the fight, or am just a fan of a certain fighter. With those 3 things i can get VERY NERVOUS.
Pavlik/Taylor II was a real roller coaster. It's always hard to watch a guy try so hard, and fight so well, but lose.
I'm fine through the undercard but once the build up starts and the ringwalks begin, I'm a wreck. I always find the national anthems quite moving as well no matter what countries it is. When the fights underway I'm fine and very focused.
I get pretty goddamn excited. If it's a Pacquiao fight I'm downright giddy. The only time I've ever been similarly excited about any other sporting event was when my favorite team (the Ravens) was playing in the Super Bowl.
I get real bad during a big fight, I sit on the edge of the seat, I bob and weave in the seat to the movement of the fighters, I shout at the screen when they keep getting caught by the same punches, when I think it should be stopped and when I see the person I want to lose wobble or my fighter wobbled...Nigel Benn fights were the worst for me to watch for pure adrenalin rushes.
My sister and her husband live 30 minutes away from me. I wouldn't call them "hardcore," but they are really good/smart boxing fans. That's where I watch most big fights. On the drive over I talk to myself, outloud!
only time i got nervous was before i fought but why get nervous when another guy is fighting.. he's the one taking the hits not you.. is easy from the stands :hat
Shane REALLY let that one get away.... he was a fool to not gamble on everything and put PBF away, at least 1 knockdown in that round.... oh yeah... i honestly get a little nervous for Pacquiao or Ward when they get into a serious situation.... but its all exciting and entertainment
