Absolutely. This is a very dangerous fight for him to take after coming off a quick KO loss against a nobody. To me, this tells me that FW is going "all in" on Khan. Either he wins and is able to get his star back, or he loses and he ceases to be a main attraction. Barrera's a little gun shy lately, but Khan's not going to be able to KO him, and and even as such he still managed to outbox the #3 P4P in the world at times only a year ago.

No I don't give him props because Barrera is not only well past his prime but he's also moving up in weight. 135 is an unknown territory to him. If anything, i give barrera mad props cuz i did not expect this from him. I expected him to fight a tuneup against a softie and jump into a campbell fight but i guess he's dead serious about his comeback. Props to Barrera.

BTW he's also coming back from a long layoff so there's no reason why khan shouldn't have took this fight.

Barrera has a big edge in the poll in this forum, some how the fans here see him stopping Khan, I think Khan wins on points and makes MAB look his age.

I just seen this today on the news page. I am actually pumped for this fight.

Kahn still makes a ton of mistakes and has a ways to go technically. I dont know but I feel as though Barrera might take him to school.

If he does blast Barrera, which is possible, then maybe he fights JMM or Cambell both of whom would **** him in the ring. This could be good.

Hmm yeah you have a lot of good points, at first I am thinking man Barrera will school him but... barrera is old now and with roach and pacman in his corner Kahn has a lot going for him. I hope he doesnt win, I dont like seeing old legends getting beat down by younger guys a few classes below them in skill.

If he beats Barrera, JMM will have to get the revenge for the old mans club on him.

im not a fan of his but I never faulted his heart and self belief, tbh when someone at work told me this fight was made, I just laughed and told him to **** off, then I realised my mate doesnt know who MAB is even.

Khan is an EXCEPTIONAL talent. The only question is whether his chin holds up. If it does, he'll beat Barrera.

I don't know Khan he's maybe an idiot but Waren and Roach are definitely not idiots. If they chose the fight than they think that he has a very good chance at wining it. Marco is way way past his prime. It's obvious that he's going to start loosing from bums. So Khan has a very good chance of winning. I even consider to put some money on the fight.

Of course...it's ballsy but also a tad over ambitious. I don't want to call it stupid but if the shoe fits.....

I think you've gotta respect Khan for taking this fight. I reckon it's an even bet. He has many advantages - speed, youth etc but this MAB!

The cynical side of me (90% of me) says that MAB is just a hand-picked big name who can't do it anymore. This will be Khan's "step up" fight, which will catapult him into undeserved championship fights where he'll hopefully be re-re-exposed.

You've got to give Khan credit for taking this fight. People are questioning whether or not Barrera can carry his power up to lightweight, but he doesnt need to carry it all to KO Khan. Willie Limmond cant crack an egg and still had Khan in a state. Khan will be countered and KO'd. This is the first Amir Khan fight that I cant wait to see.

I must say Ill be supporting Khan. Though he has the speed, power, reach and youth advantage I just feel that his chin is way to weak.
