Is that really avoidable in boxing?

I sometimes lend people my head gear, gloves or bandages. I don't really give a ****. A while ago I contracted herpes from taking and blocking punches (I had it on my face and forearms).

People own their own headgear? :blood

Seriously, I never considered it. Dunno, we all swap stuff all the time. Gloves, pads, headgear. Cooties too apparently. (but no jocks tho cuz that's gross! haha)

...and no, I wouldn't let anyone use my stuff. If they don't like the old grubby gear from the locker at the gym, they can go buy their own like I did.

I'll lend extra hand wraps out once in a while but I always wash it when I get home.

I gave someone my old mouthguard that I keep as an exra. He forgot one at his fight (dumbass!) he got some hot water and remolded it so it would fit. He offered it back to me after his fight but I let him keep it. Yuck.

I don't let people use my stuff. Like amy said, if they don't like the old stuff that the gym has, they can get their own like I did. I still use smelly old gym headgear for fights, but I have my own headgear for sparring, bag gloves and sparring gloves.
