If he fights Pac or Paul Williams next he will officially not be a cherry picker. You can't deny that all these years he will have only fought one top welter his own size. He's got some making up to do in the next 18 months.

    Let me clear myself

Everyone here knows that Mayweather would have been crucified for fighting Hatton, do I think that after Hatton he would just start fighting cans, no, after the fallout of Mayweather/Pacquiao who else was there?

Berto was tending to his family in Haiti, Williams was set to fight Pavlik, Cotto was just demolished by Pacquiao and Hatton was brought up as a potential name.

Now looking at who's left there's Mosley and Hatton.

Like I said before he would have been crucified for fighting Hatton so Mosley was all that was left.

Would have he actually foughten Hatton, I don't know but after his history of ducking Welterweights and Hatton's name constantly coming up as a potential name, no it would not have surprised me if this fight was actually made.

Now if he doesnt care about his fans why just not fight Hatton? I don't know, you'd have to ask him that yourself.

Can you name someone else he could have foughten insted of Mosley?

Now u understand were we are coming from. They hate becos they must!!! For some not all its a race thing-A Black cocky fighter is never loved when he is at his peak (the only exception I know of was Tyson, not even Ali was loved at his peak), others its becos he beat their idol or there idol got beat before he ever faced Floyd and they reason Floyd ducked him while he was hot even when there may be contrarian evidence to prove that a Fight between them was never seriously considered. Some of the Haters just hate the fact that he is the only undefeated Fighter out of this generation of HOFs.

Floyd could kill all their idols in the ring but they will still hate him and call him a Cherry picker, a feather fisted fighter, a coward, a Homo and every degrading thing you could call a boxer. I will give them one thing though they have not yet called him SKILLLESS, but by every indication they will get there cos they HATE becos they must.

Man these *******s won't change their view. Nothing will. They are idiots.

They say Mayweather is "cherry picking", was "forced to fight Mosley", and now "Mosley is old". Then you show the idiots VIDEO evidence of Mosley backing down from the request by Mayweather to fight due to a "loose tooth" and "vacation".

Nothing will change until Manny mans up and gets his sorry ass knocked out!

Most people's perceptions will never change because they are based on hatred and not facts. They were screaming after Marquez the Floyd should fight Mosley and that he was scared and would "never" face a challenge like Mosley.

Now that the fight has been made the excuses are Flowing. Mosley's old, Mosley's past it. Floyd had no choice he was backed into a corner.

They conveniently ignore the times in the Past when Mayweather wanted to fight Mosley and Mosley avoided him.

One right can't correct all of his wrongs. So it's a start for me. We'll see what he does afterwards..

Pac won't fight because he won't drug test.

Williams will need to show that he can make 147 and do so looking decent. 147 is a lot to ask of a man that is 6'2". And most fighters look like crap if they rush down in weight into a big fight, RJJ, ODLH, RH, etc...

The next fight for Mayweather is the winner of Berto/Cintron unless Manny grows a pair.

Please educate us on this "Mosley avoiding Floyd".

Please do not got back to 1999 when Floyd was calling on Shane as Shane himslef was looking for bigger and better fights himself. And Floyd was not that big back then. And please do not go back to Shane post fight interview in 2006, as we all know what bigger fight was to happen.

C'mon man, get real. Mosley and MATTHEW HATTON were the only two options out there? I could pick a name out of a hat and it would be better than Hatton.

Even when Mosley was set to fight Berto, there were better choices than Hatton. Floyd would get roasted for fighting Hatton even if Mosley wasn't available. So how are going to say that you believe he would've fought Hatton and then say he was forced to fight Mosley? That makes no sense.

So then how does a guy who has a history of ducking WWs and is willing to fight Matthew Hatton get forced to fight anyone?

You said Matthew Hatton. Collazo, Cintron, Malignaggi, Bradley, Mike Jones, hell even Saul Alvarez would be better options than Hatton. Would Floyd get **** for fighting these guys instead of Mosley? Hell yeah he would. However, you claim he would be willing to fight Hatton. He would get roasted for fighting Hatton even if Mosley weren't an option. So if you believe he would be willing to get roasted and fight Hatton, why wouldn't he be willing to get roasted and fight Cintron or Bradley instead of Shane?

All these "So-Called" Fight Fans all saw these interviews and Statements. Yet still call Mayweather "The Ducker".

The same thing is happening with Timothy Bradley....He is the Best 140lbs Fighter HANDS-DOWN. Yet all the other "so-called" Top Fighters at 140lbs are negotiating and fighting each other (Khan vs Malinaggi, Cayo vs Maidana, Otiz vs Campbell, Alexander vs Urango) Leaving the Best at 140lbs with NO OPPPONENT. Now if Bradley fights a NO-NAME or a "Past-Their-Prime" fighter (Cassamayor)...Guess what, He'll be called a Ducker too.

"Certain" Fighters never get the Respect THEY DESERVE.:-(
