Do you think Devin Haney will ever be the same?

The beating he took could definately mess him a bit mentally with his confidence. His next fight will answer some much needed questions.

    Maybe.

Some fighters are never the same after they suffer their first loss like Hamed and to a lesser degree Shane Mosley.

He just don't got the whiskers to take a pop on the whiskers from legit prime big punchers his size who are big and long enough to land. Like I said, stick him in there with Super Boots and he's going to sleep the same time a 7 y/o's bedtime is ie. very early

I honestly think Luke Campbell would've knocked him out had they fought. He can't hurt Campbell, he can't outbox him, and Campbell has the size, length and excellent skills to land clean with his shots and he also has the power to hurt him badly and take him out

And yet those weaknesses have been there the whole time - and he's been a champion in two divisions despite it.

Which is precisely the point - what's different now that'd change how he's able to perform going forwards?

If he's still 10lbs+ bigger than his opponents, with height and reach advantages AND free reign to hug as much as he likes (ie: like it always has been) will he not be able to perform?

Hamed was basically shot when he lost... Hands were gone and he was feeling the effects of lots of poor lifestyle choices (not least struggling badly to make weight).

And he only fought once more anyway - so it's not like there's a big sample size to play with.

Big difference between Hamed losing for the first time when basically shot and Haney losing for the first time in his absolute prime, IMHO.

You cannot develop power. You either got it or you don't.....unless maybe through roids

Josh Taylor too I believe would have caused him a lot of problems. Josh was always big 140 pounder that does best when imposing his size. He was a very good pressure fighter that would bully Haney in the inside. And as history showed, Haney has troubles with southpaws

If you ask a significant number of Fury fans on here, it wouldn't be the first time.

But they'd attribute it partly to piling on weight as well as changing trainer and style... And it'd be hard for Devin to cut more :lol:

I do think you can gain some, but you're not going to see fighters go from featherfisted to a murderous puncher - it's more that going from featherfisted to just about enough to be effective makes a huge difference in the ring (and will look like a bigger gain than it was!).

He’s in trouble all he has is a jab and his conditioning, the big boys are going to hurt him and he will not be able to do anything about it.

Everyone? He got knocked out at lightweight for being reckless and constantly carried on getting tagged for the rest of his career jumping in wildly with punches, Prescot wasn`t even a woorld champ when he sparked Amir.

So what do you call it if he beat them all prior to the Prescott fight? Not sure how I confused you with “he was beating everyone prior to Prescott.”

He will move up in weight. The killa's are waiting for him. He'll get pieced up, quick , fast and in a hurry.

Which fighters are you talking about? Khan hadn`t even had a world title fight yet when he climbed into the ring v Prescot who was an underdog.

? what does having a title , have anything to do with him getting his chin check? I clearly stated Khan.
