Gayweather is way overrated. Anybody can look good against his opposition - Corrales, Gatti, Castillo were not exactly oozing with talent.

Marquez and Floyd are two different fighters. They both can counterpunch but the similarly ends here. Marquez is much better counterpuncher than Floyd, he not afraid to get hit and throws combinations while Floyd is the opposite. Besides Marquez has the experience of being there with Pacquiao 24 rounds while Floyd is zero.
That didn't stop Marquez from boxing the breaks off of Pacquiao in their first fight after the knockdowns. atsch
I don't base it on counterpunching. I think Floyd would pick Manny a part however he wanted to, mainly from the outside. Morales and Marquez landed right hands and hooks at will when they lead their attack. And those two guys have T-Rex arms. It'd be ugly.
No way. The accuracy of Floyd's lead right and left hook make it more devastating than 3 or 4 jabs or even power punches from other fighters. He doesn't need to throw combinations when he can snipe you and get back on defense. That will wear anyone out over time. You actually don't have to hit someone very hard to knock them out if you hit them in the right place. Floyd's accuracy is on a different level than today's boxers.

That's not the right I'm talking about. I'm talking about the rights that Victor Ortiz ate. Cotto did something on defense that stopped May's usual lead rights. The 10oz gloves also played a part. Cotto went in with a great gameplan.
Cotto took away Floyd's straight right and mostly his left hook. Cotto pushed him around the ring and Floyd still won 9 or 10 rounds.
