I'll play devil's advocate here... The guy is a 'roided beast, who dispatched Rogers easier than Fedor managed to. When has Fedor ever beaten a guy as big and powerful as Overeem, who had Overeem's technique and skills? Fedor is older now, he can't still be as good as he was in 2003-5. Overeem has so many advantages - he is younger, taller, longer reach, heavier. He is a lot bigger in every way. What do you think - is Overeem the man to finally do it? :bbb
no dont think so i think fedor is to fast and powerfull with his punches even tho overeem is better skill wise standing i think i just thik fedor will beat him to the punch, and he's a hell of a lot better on the ground!
Yes, such outcome is possible. I also think Fedor is getting past prime at 34 and Overeem 2.0 is just a beast now and very hard to beat.
Exactly Fedor has crap managment but its almost a given that Fedor will defeat Werdum and Fedor will have one sight let on the SF contract. Who in the **** could he possibly fight besides Overeem ? I cant wait this should be a hell of a fight.
Overeem has been knocked out on several occasions and I think with Fedor's power, accuracy, and speed, he will catch overeem with a punch and put his lights out. Overeem has a suspect chin and you can bet Fedor will have that flaw duely noted and it will be tested.:deal
Fedor will either submit or KO Overeem. Shogun stopped Overeem twice in PRIDE so I dont see Fedor being troubled at all. The fact that Overeem beat Rogers easier than Fedor did means nothing at all, absolutely nothing..... check out the Ali-Frazier-Foreman-Norton fights.... MMA is the same, styles make fights, every fight is different & greatness more often than not shows through. Ps. this doesnt mean Overeem has zero chance, everybody has a chance but my money would be solidly behind a Fedor victory.
If people are going on the fact that Overeem beat Rogers quicker than Fedor, remember, Rogers finished Arlovski quicker than Fedor and we all know how Fedor vs Rogers turned out.:deal
Overeem was knock out by guys smaller and less powerful than Fedor. All Fedor needs is one shot, and if that one shot doesn't land flush to knock out Allisatar, it will scare him and have him second guessing his attacks. On the ground, Fedor will submit overeem weather he's on the bottom or top, Fedor is that much better on the ground.
