Sort of a bad time to ask this with all the crazyness going on in the general. Serious question and no bs/trolling/sillyness

Both myself and my old man thought Pac's speed didnt look as sharp as say in the Hatton and DLH fights. I think in the first round he was going easy to get Cotto to underestimate him and trade a bit, but even after he picked it up it seemed slightly slower. And I dont know what the HBO team was on about Cotto had the speed to match Pac, he was never as fast as him. Im not sure why they said that but maybe the speed difference seemed closer than they expected and they didnt think that maybe Pac didnt look as fast as usual.

Did you notice anything similar? Why do you think it was, maybe he wanted to sit down on his punches more or maybe there was something else?

Or did you notice no difference at all and just think Im crazy?

No. I mean he's just a tad bit slower in the bigger weight classes but it's so marginal. He's very very fast still.

He's slower, IMO and I guess it's normal since he's not a natural ww.

    yes he did IMO

i kept waiting for him to start one of his super fast flurries to see how cotto reacts and when he did throw a combination it didn't look as fast as it did in the marquez/morales/barrera fights or even the de la hoya fight.

Yes he is slower but in welterweight standards that's extremely fast and possibly the fastest at welterweight alongside Mayweather. Their were similar threads about Mayweather looking slower when he moved up too, that's normal because people got used to his speed at lower weights but will eventually notice they remain way too fast for other fighters in the same division.

I also noticed that Pac's activity isn't the same either, he doesn't throw as much as he used to before but still it's excellent compared to others in the division. You must also remember that Cotto's speed is very underrated so making Pac look not WAY faster was normal till he was badly hurt and exhausted from the power punches he had to absorb.

Comparing to his junior lightweight days a little yes.

But by welterweight standards he's super fast still.

Mosely is not faster than Floyd, but he will whip his ****in ass, though. And pac too, for that matter. And Zab too.
