Do you think Pac looked a little slower in the Cotto fight?

It's pretty amazing when ya think about it. I don't know how many of you guys remember when Pac took on JMM in 07 but people were saying he was slowing down then.

 

Pac IS older and heavier, after all. Yeah, probably is slower by a tic from his fastest.

According to ESB Roid experts, if it slowed Pac, it is roid. If pac becomes faster, it is roid. If Pac stay the same, it is roid.

So conclusion, Pac is roided.

I did. He relies alot more on his skills than his speed these days.

If you compare Pac's speed now to the first Barrera fight, its like slowmotion.

 

I genuinely did not notice him looking any slower than vs Hatton or Hoya. He was a little more static than usual because he wanted to trade with Cotto, but whenever he did explode into action he was as fast as ever IMO.

 

Yeah, I rewatched the fight after making earlier comments in this thread. He didn't seem to slow tremendously, only a little.

 

what you gotta do is watch him before and after. Pop in Pacquiao vs Barrera I and compare that to Pacquiao vs Cotto.

 

I dunno man. I guess I'll try. He just didn;t seem to be much slower. Unless, of course, I am overrating Cotto's speed a bit.

 

Hmm... interesting. I think his speed looked the same. It's just that he didn't dominate Cotto as fast and easier than Hatton. Pacquiao also threw less punches because he was more careful with Cotto than Hatton.

 

At 135 the speed vs diaz was ridiculous. The guy was throwing 3-4 right hands in a row. The difference is now he has the power so doesnt need all of those punches to get a guys respect or get him out of there. Cotto was badly hurt by single power shots throughout the fight. Hatton was Brutally dispatched by a viscious left.

Also cotto is much faster than both hatton and diaz. Hatton has fast feet but slow hands. Cotto has good hands but still pacquiao was faster. Notice also that pacquiaos accuracy was through the roof against cotto particularly in the early rounds. Pacquiao is turning into more of a master boxer who can hurt and punish you with either hand using single shots.

 

Still as fast . . . just wary of Cotto's killer jabs.

Now lets compare to the speed here. Clearly cotto is far superior to diaz but damn 4-5 with the right. Pacquiao was dancing like an ATG boxer that night. By the way, props to GP for another fine production.
