No, a rematch, especially if it's a year or two down the road, would not go well for Lomachenko. While it would not be as devastating as the Inoue-Donaire rematch the concept would be the same. The younger guy fully growing into his prime and the older guy just getting older would be bad for Loma.

That being said, the reality is that if the rematch isn't immediate the fight wouldn't happen anyway. Haney is huge and if he doesn't get a big money fight with Tank or Shakur soon he will move to 140. Loma won't follow him there.
