Does a fighter get credit for hitting on the arms?

    "blocked punches,' ? Rocky pounded fighters' arms so they couldn't lift'em. It was a successful tactic on his part, not his opponent's defensive skill.

    back to topic, if a fighter gets hit on the arms or elbows, i think it's really about how you score fights, whether you look for effective, clean punching, or effective aggression, but holding the arms and elbows and allowing them to take a lot of shots from big punchers in a fight can take it's toll
