Does any version of Foreman beat Jimmy Young?

The foreman who fought ali would have beaten young. That foreman would have destroyed just about any other heavy in history. Check out how savage his attack was and also his underestimated ability to cut the ring off. Only Ali's toughness and ability to avoid and roll with punches saved him. Foreman didn't fight young with quite the same ferocity even though he did hurt him several times, so i really couldn't see young surviving. I think the main reason that young won was because the loss to ali took the starch out of foreman.

 

That is true, and I actually thought of that right after I posted it. But didn't he start taking off and training in the Oregon area? Something to do with some Johnny Unitas program?

He then wouldn't be used to it. If he doesn't train in a climate like that, it will/could affect him.

 

The 1873/74 Foreman of Kingston to Zaire would have beaten the version of Young that he fought in '77. Would still have been a tough one for him,though. I see George finally catching up with Young around rounds 9 or 10 and prompting the referee to stop the fight. Providing the venue was in somewhere not too hot

 

Indeed. Foreman had an off night and Young was on the best roll of his career.
