I'm a huge fan of both guys but I pick Mayweather to win should they match up.

That makes me a ***** in the genius world of boxing forums:) lol

If this was b-ball, Floyd would be Karl Malone, Pac Michael Jordan. The latter just achieved so much more than the former.

So it's possible to like em both, hate em both, like one hate other, but impossible to like/ hate both equally. Two entirely different boxers, two entirely different people. One is just leagues above the other, no comparison. Boxing-wise, person-wise.

I like Floyd's defense, I like his swagger (Im like this in real life too). However, he is relatively boring to watch and has actually hurt the sport of boxing. He has also engaged in criminal activities. He slanders other fighters.

I like Pac's exciting offense, but I hate his smugness. However, he has been very giving to the fans and has taken the sport to new heights. He has also engaged in philantrophic activities. He is also very respectful of other fighters.

    Boxing skill wise. Yes.

Floyd is possibly the best defensive fighter ever and Pacquiao is possibly the best offensive fighter ever.

    Floyd is Ice.
    Pacquiao is Fire.

Any true boxing fan should be appreciative of both fighters' skillset.

For the record Pac strikes me as a smug individual. Always smiling at cameras, but smug.

I also believe in the reports of his philandering. But then puss was made to be ****ed, so he gets a pass.

Women were not made to be beaten up though, nor other boxers slandered.

I love to watch both fighters. Everything about Mayweather in the ring is pure class but, as other posters have said, north of 140 he has become too clinical and defencively minded. Pac is the entertainer of the two. I watch him waiting for him to explode with those combo's and get into a fire-fight with his opponent. I admire and respect Mayweather but it's Pac who brings the passion for boxing out in me!

I'd root for Pac if they fought and what an occasion that would be!!!

  8. if youre a true boxing fan, you have to like both. maybe not as people, but what they do in the ring is incredible and every single boxing fan can appreciate that.

Do you still like a boxer who doesnt fight the best? Or comes up with ridiculous excuses and demands not to fight them?

Love them both, thought Floyd was the perfect fighter ever since seeing the Corrales fight. Have not been too happy with him since the Mitchell fight, but that's okay.

Always always loved Pac since immediately AFTER the barrera I fight, such a meteoric rise and he immediately went on to prove it wasn't a fluke, but that he belonged in there with the best of the best.

His success at welterweight has blown my mind, especially the WAY he beat Cotto (which impressed Floyd Sr, too, let's be honest).

Love them both, I take nothing away from floyd being the better fighter, but Pac actually being more likely to win hard fights since he is used to fighting guys on his skill level or much much bigger and still blowing them out of the water, whereas Floyd has never experienced anyone on his skill level but for maybe one round of the Judah fight.

Only rooted against Pac in Barrera I,II, and Morales III, will never ever root against him again unless he is fighting my mom.

As far as skill and athleticism I do enjoy Floyd, more than Pacquiao actually. But what Pacquiao has done is not something you can just simply ignore, he has become a modern day Ali by all the attention he's bringing

I admire both for boxing ability. I can't stand Pac's fan boys and I don't like Floyd's style of ducking everybody 147+. For entertainment you would have to say Pac is by far ahead of Floyed but at 135 down Floyed had a few really watchable fights and took on the best. The fight he lost to Castillo was fantastic. I actually wish they had met at 130 or 135 where I think the fight would have been much more likely to happen and I actually think Floyd could have won at those weights but the timing was wrong. Now Pacquiao could beat Floyd on either points or by stoppage and Floyed would only have a slim chance at beating Pac on points imo.
I agree with people who say Pac needs to take a better ped test but I'm not buying into all this Floyd isn't scared of him bs. Let's not forget that Carl Lewis, who accused Ben Jhonson of taking steroids, was right but turned out to be taking them himself. I also dislike Floyd's personality because of racist things him and his family say about white people and this whole deal about him beating his wife infront of his kids if it's true. You can only admire Pacquiao for what he's done in his life though.
