He can only win by KO.

I think Cloud won 3-4 rounds which makes it 114-112 at best. I know its only one round from being a draw but I don't see one more round to give him. Campillo deserved the decision even if you're looking for rounds to give Cloud.

I see Williams-Lara being mentioned a lot with this decision, I think the Williams-Lara decision was worse than this one. Atleast Cloud had that 10-7 first round which gave him a big head start.

There is a case to be made that many refs would have pulled the plug on Campillo in the first...but nowhere near as strong a case as, for instance, the missed opportunity for a KO1 in Hernandez vs. Cunningham I.

After that strong start, Cloud went on to lose ten out of eleven rounds fairly clearly and in almost embarrassing fashion. So it isn't surprising that he clings so desperately to the glory of that first round. Cloud is proud, and pride does funny things to the mind.

This is why "L"s or "W"s mean very little. Level of performance given the performance of the opponent on the night is the only thing that matters. :good

I don't think she fainted because the verdict "went exactly the way she expected it to". :yep

But it wasn't a standing 8.....was it? It was ruled a KD as far as I know.

This is exactly how I see it.

This is one of the rare cases where a close fight(points wise) can be considered a robbery. The 10-7 round saw to that.

Interesting to note, had Pac been awarded 10-6 (which he shouid have) for knocking down JMM three times in the first found in their first bout, he'd've gotten a split decision, not a draw.

    Definitely not.

    112-114 for the challenger.
Other than the opener I only gave Cloud 4,6 and 11. All of which were debatable.

Boxing Scorecard app is sweet! :D

I think maidana will get robbed as well, for some reason maidana can keep his interim title by the wba, I feel they want him to lose but still make money off him, he will need to ko alexander for sure.

Campillo definitely won.. The judge who had it so lopsided for Cloud should be banned...

Cloud's stock has just plummeted. He will not want a rematch because he just got owned and exposed. Campillo would do exactly the same thing next time, only he would be a bit more cautious in the first round and not get dropped, and with fair judges the decision would go to Campillo. To paraphrase the great Lou Duva after the Whitaker-Chavez bout, - we always seem to get these types of decisions when Don King is involved. When King's guys are fighting, you always have to hold your breath when the decision is announced. How is it that two of the judges had only one prior title fight under their belt? This is in part why so many are disgusted with this sport. When the 18-0 Patriots get beat in the Supberbowl, they get beat and that's that. There isn't some ref or judge there to save them and give them the game anyway. It's about the integrity of the sport. Boxing is a sport with little integrity, and hence little public confidence, which affects attendance and interest. Why do you think other sports have commissioners who scrupulously and tirelessly protect the integrity of their sport? Because they realize that is important for the continued financial success of their sport as a whole. Boxing lacks this type of macro thinking.

    I scored the bout:

    1 - TC (10-7)
    2 - CAM
    3 - CAM
    4 - TC
    5 - Even or CAM
    6 - Even
    7 - CAM
    8 - CAM
    9 - CAM
    10 - CAM
    11 - Even
    12 - Even or TC

    I had it 116-114 Campillo.

Even if you bent over backwards to give Cloud every single close round (the ones I had even - which arguably could have gone to Campillo too), it would still be 114-112 Cloud, which is what Elizondo had. However, 116-110 Cloud, which is what David Robertson had, is absolutely unconscionable. There were too many rounds that Campillo clearly dominated to give those rounds to Cloud.
