I look at the facts. But to say any decent fighter would beat Oscar right now, and in such dominating fashion, is still ridiculous.

Just give the man his credit. Also note that I am NOT a Pacquiao fan.

read my post i have given him credit and i said that saying any decent fighter would have crushed oscar was a bad choice of words but any top 10 WW or top 10 JWW would have done the same thing

It was an impressive win but people taking it way overboard. The reason Roach push the fight is because Roach knows Oscar doesn't have it no more and he knows that Oscar dropping down in weight would kill him. At Oscar age and his body size theres no reason for him to be dropping down so much weight to make the fight happen. If anything it benefit Manny moving up more then Oscar moving down. I give him all the credit in the world from moving two weight classes up and putting and end to Oscar career but lets get carry away and say he would kick Margarito,Berto,Paul Williams,Cotto and Floyd ass the same way he did Oscar.

    Fair enough.

Still, take this into consideration, as for the "any top 10 WW or top 10 JWW" part:

    Top 10 Junior Welterweights

    1 Ricky Hatton
    2 Andriy Kotelnik
    3 Kendall Holt
    4 Timothy Bradley

    Top 10 Welterweights

    1 Antonio Margarito
    2 Paul Williams
    3 Miguel Cotto
    4 Joshua Clottey

    7 Zab Judah
    8 Kermit Cintron

Do you think any of the names in red (those are top 10 guys as you stated) are capable of even beating Oscar, let alone dominating him? I think not.

I understood how you thought of this, you probably said "top 10" and had guys like Hatton and Margarito in mind. I get what you're saying though. But you just have to consider Pacquiao is neither Welter, nor Junior Welter. :good

He deserves credit because he looked sensational. The problem is that people aren't using their hindsight when projecting this win. DLH came in severely affected by the weight. Anybody who has cut weight knew that when he rehydrated 2 lbs that he lost a good amount of muscle mass and would be weak for the fight. I had picked DLH to win by knockout but as soon as I heard he weighed 147 on fight night I thought he would get knocked out. Alot of people who said Manny would win were on the Roach bandwagon that claimed Oscar to be shot. As soon as it comes to fruition they tuck that piece of news away and claim Oscar was outclassed but not shot. Roach knew this was about getting a big name on the ledger. Did Manny look good? Yes. Is he getting too much credit? I think he is.

That's the key point. Almost everyone predicting DLH to win assumed that DLH would have a 10-15 lb advantage come fight night. It's just unbelievable how DLH could fight at the WW limit on fight night. Something not one human being alive could've predicted.

I'm sure every single one of these experts expected DLH to have a 10-15 lb weight advantage come fight night. As soon as they found out about the actual weight, i'm sure they said, "Oh no", as i did. :good
