I was beside myself watching the fight wondering why the hell is he not going to the body at all. If he goes to the body we`re not having the conversation we`re having today about a draw. Never leave it in the hands of the judges.

Usually power punches fall in love with their power. Also it is easier to counter a body shot, since Canelo had the speed advantage GGG probably did not want to risk getting counteree.

Canelo was on the move like I predicted he would be so there really wasn't much o ppurtunity for GGG to pound the body.. so much for Canelo having slow feet.

he shouldn't have had to worry about that since he knocks out heavyweights in sparring and gives up free shots right?

He's too slow going to the body and Canelo is too quick going up top. I said before the fight that GGG wouldn't get to his body and thats exactly how it turned out.

Go tell that to the fanboys, don't wanna sound like a know it all but the fight went like I thought it would. Canelo is to skilled to get knocked out and is very accurate so GGG nor any fighter will just lunge in.

it was a defensive strategy by ggg. canelos team also knows that ggg is a prolific body puncher, so much of his preparation was centered around countering on the inside where canelos faster, shorter arms would accumulate more points. even when canelo was on the ropes waving him in, ggg did not come in to play into canelos strategy. he kept the fight on the outside where his advantage in reach and footwork limited canelos ability to score points. i was actually surprised at ggg's ability to stick to the game plan that saw him eventually win more rds.
