That looks like a piece of loose thread and not a crack.

What do you mean it was "exposed"? You can call it whatever you want, the wrap clearly split open over the knuckle. That is highly unusual and only adds to the suspicion that his hand wraps were harder than usual. A normal soft hand wrap would not split open like that during a match.

So how come nobody ever mentioned how hard the wraps were after shaking hands? Because it’s a piece of thread. Other pictures showed how it moved around. But you are free to think hands wrapped in a hard substance would sustain no knuckle damage after hundreds of punches were thrown and landed for over 30 minutes. I mean, it’s not like boxers never break their hands right? Now imagine a hand wrapped in a hard substance.

Have you ever seen a handwrap split over the knuckle like that when a fighter removes his gloves following a boxing match?

It’s a piece of thread. Now you can ignore everything else I said, again. Nobody ever said he had hardened wraps after shaking hands with him. He never had any broken knuckles or hands after the fight.

You are the only person I know who thinks Margarito could have beaten Floyd whilst I maintain I am certain Floyd would have put Margarito in hospital.

Margarito would have wrecked Floyd. That’s why Floyd avoided him and was shaking in his boots when he was confronted. Then he retired after Hatton knowing the pressure would be on to fight the winner of Margarito Cotto in late 2008. “I’m not trying to fight no welterweights”. Paul Williams and Margarito presented matchup problems for him and he knew it. Tall, volume punchers who had exceptional stamina and Margarito with his iron chin.

Then why was he suspended by every commission in America?

You tell me why. Pretty odd that it was not a lifetime ban for having “plaster”. You would think after the Resto situation anyone deemed to cheat on that level would have been tossed forever. So exactly what was he suspended for again?

But really though, don't you think that photo of his split wrap played a role in him being suspended? I mean how do you think the CSAC or any commission would have reacted to seeing that photo? The CSAC reached a decision, to suspend Tony. Having to re-wrap vs Mosley put the spotlight on Tony, then looking back and seeing that photo, it had to be a Eureka! moment. It doesn't make sense that it was only because Nazim objected to his wraps vs Mosley and the inspector forced him to re-wreap. What specifically do you think caused the Association of Boxing Commisions to suspend him nation-wide? There would have to be more to it than just somebody saying something. I'm guessing Cotto himself had a lot to do with it. He probably sued Margarito and made his case, probably based on that photo and the damage he took and it became a huge story.

As far as him getting reinstated, I think a lot of that just came down to what people believed. And after all the dust settled, I think many people were still unsure what to believe and may have felt like they just weren't confident enough that Tony deserved to be banned for life. hardened wraps or not, there's an argument that you couldn't prove that the fighter knew or had anything to do with it. But at it's core, there had to be something concrete that caused him to be suspended in the first place. It's hard to believe it all happened based solely on him having to re-wrap vs Mosley.

Heck man youre so busy writing your novels you never read anything properly. The CSAC were SOLELY responsible for suspending Tony's license based on that blatant lie about Plaster Blocks & nothing else I dont know where you got that BS thing you posted saying that Tony's wrap had illegal substance on it Is absolutely not true. The lab report stated all that was in the wrap was a used damp gauze pad which was SOFT not HARD & all they located on it were trace elements of Calcium & sulphur which are ingredients of Plaster in far larger quantities & also, in the amount the Microscope found matched HUMAN SWEAT!!! & they declared the pads HARMLESS to his opponent & of no advantage to him. Heck it was weeks after the fight the lab got to test them & they were still SOFT!!!!!!
When were they ever hard ??? NEVER!!
Do you think that the CSAC would not have indicted Margarito if they had found the pads Hard & dangerous to his opponent?? Hell I'd have been all over him myself demanding they did friend or not
The only offences committed that night were Javier Capetillo ACCIDENTLY put a used pad in Tony's wrap in FULL VIEW OF THE CSAC INSP!! incidently instead of a new one. A technical offence at best & Nazim Richardson blatantly lying about Plaster Blocks
Oh & Shane Mosely was obviously juiced to the gills AGAIN !!
It s done a good fighters reputation & career were tarnished based on a Lie & nothing else Do you still believe the State commissions are honest???
I honestly dont Now let it rest they did what they wanted got the fighter they were afraid of out of the way & didnt have to fight him to do it Some ATG's huh ??? My own personal opinion & Ive NEVER seen anything that would change that

ROFLMAO floyd could hit Tony hard enough to bother him even with his illegal Xylocaine. If you get the chance ask Manny Pac who hit him the hardest in any fight. I heard him say Margarito did & that he was foolish to fight him He was too big & too strong He said he thought himself lucky to have survived & won. I was there when he collapsed with damage ribs right aterwards

Honestly, he is surpassing them as we speak. He already surpassed them in the business aspect and now is in the verge of surpassing them legacy wise. If he unifies 168lbs he will have done it. Then to surpass Chávez he need something big! A **** talker that talks down on Mexicans and he beats him in a tough fight. The country will then get behind him
